so i recently ordered a pretty simple outfit and the designer send it with tights. like leggings that arew now in with long shirts.
Ive worn the outfit already but with other capris that i had because i felt as it was too weird and besides no one here where i live has worn tights with sharwal kamiz.
Attached is a picture of the bottom part of the outfit and the tights. Do you guys think its werid? would you wear it?

i dont wear tights or capris due to pardah reasons....
Sorry Off Topic: how did u order ur dress.... i am so tired of asking people in pakistan to send me dresses beside i am kinda choosy with my dresses so i hardly like the stuff they send me but i dont have a choice but to wear it :( .... do you know any gud website for people in canada where i can order my dresses....

A lot of new outfits are like that but tights are not so much in stream yet - everyone will be wearing them in 3 months and so be a trendsetter - go for it!

with jeans/capris and t shirt my daily uniform i cant handle the new western trends in shalwar kameez, sorry. this time when i went to visit pakistan over the summer people were wearing pants under kameez. it is one thing to wear jeans with kameez but lawn fabric which is so dhella, to wear that as a pant/capri fuggly. i like traditional desi fashions, no western influence please.

I dont like the tights trend in Pak at all...just my opinion.

Classiness is the last word i'd use to describe these... trendy, fashionable, only for young girls, yes, classy/elegant, no.
i wouldn't wear it with the tights.

I really like the tights! they are not just tights but are embellished at the bottom which desifys them! I kinda disagree with NOT westernizing the Shalwar Kameez. I totally hate desi stuff from India since its so traditional so it can only be worn as a costume, but Pakistanis have really inovated and kept up with the trends while holding on to a unique form of their cultural garb. Personaly evolution is inevitable, stuff that doesen’t change, becomes a relic. You don’t see many Japanease people wearing Kimonos anymore … I’d hate for Pakis to loose their national dress… but innovation is ok.
On the other hand if you LOVE the traditional look go for it. I do like some traditional stuff but variety is key. Btw I’ve spoken previously of ordering from IndusMart.com , pakistani shalwar kameez, dress , clothing , bridal wear from which I ordered 2 outfits and had a very positive experience.
