Really!!! Coz I was looking on-line…and using Qatar airways and all that not through their web-sites…jst through travel agent web-sites…i wanted to scream with frustration
But to fly across US I will have to apply for visa right…coz I still don’t have a Canadian Passport

Hmmm! some one is right up there ^ may be you checked Business class or full fare Y class high season while surfing for the cheapest fare and carrier !
Unfortunately you do require a transit visa for the US. I suggest to avoid such routing, as there are some good choices right here from Pearson Airport.
Good Luck ! :D
hehehehee I did not click business class Yeaaa…and I do want to avoid the US…I dnt wnt the head ache of going to the US embassy and answering all their non-sense questions

i agree with you that flying thru the US for landed immigrants is a big hassle but flying out of toronto is quite expensive due to higher taxes. the only airline that is cheaper is Turkish Airlines but prolly to India only and NOT to Pakistan. the cheapest direct from toronto to karachi round trip that i got is $1273 on Etihad Airlines. **

Yes! This fare sounds reasonable,, and very consistant with ex Toronto fares which are $1200 upto $ 2000 (seasonal). Taxes are high ex YYZ but they are not new and we 'Torontonians' are happy with what we got. :D

true. i always fly with american american [AA] airlines via chicago and pay a lot less than i'd have paid from YYZ. last year i paid $935 dollars for YYZ-ORD-DEL and back, if i flew out of YYZ, i'd have paid $1700...huge difference.
i flew to Richmond, Virginia over the christmas for $185 from Buffalo but from YYZ it was $454...again a huge difference. so flying out of buffalo or thru a US gateway is much cheaper and better service as well. we have ORD-DEL non stop flights that takes 15 hours.**
hmmm....ok..cool thanks...did u find the prices on their web-site or through a TA?

u r most welcome. its on their website and u may be able to get even a cheaper fare if u r flexible with ur travel dates.**
