Three Ts of Culture

I read somewhere that a cultured society can be measured through 3 ‘Ts’.

Traffic

state of Toilets

How they preserve and promote ‘Tourism’.

Do you agree with this? Do you consider the area / country you are living cultured one based on these 3 ‘Ts’

Re: Three Ts of Culture

All the good places in the world have horrible traffic.

Except the pinds and other extremely rural places

Re: Three Ts of Culture

But in cultured societies, traffic rules are followed as against other societies where breaking traffic rules is the sign of being cool and brave

Re: Three Ts of Culture

Traffic is horrible everywhere,But mostly in rush hrs in west, people don't break traffic law in west.

Re: Three Ts of Culture

What about Toilets? Did you ever get chance to visit public toilets (on railway station, etc) in Pakistan?

Re: Three Ts of Culture

Do they have public toilets in Pakistan? Once in Karachi we were out for shopping we asked for toilets they said theres no toilet around.
However, on airports lik khi, lhr, isb I always found them clean.
I havent visit railway station in paksitan yet.
But one thing I really don’t like  whenever u buy any samosa pakoras they will put them in wrapper with their hands

Re: Three Ts of Culture

LOLs. there are public toilets in mosques.. chhota kaam 2 ruppe, baRa kaam 5 ruppe :omg:

In Musharraf times, some public toilets were made, but soon after that become a flop idea

Re: Three Ts of Culture

idhar tu teno flop hain, khaiton mein janay wala idea :k:

Re: Three Ts of Culture

It took me 3 mins to understand what u mean :smack:
But why they charge ? It Should be free…no??

Re: Three Ts of Culture

wo kyon free mein karein gay, karo ap aur bharay koi aur?

Re: Three Ts of Culture

wo ap kay "kiyay dharay" par pani phertay hain, itna tu unka banta hai

Re: Three Ts of Culture

They charge it because free delivery makes people zalim as they say ‘Maal e muft, dil e be reham’

Re: Three Ts of Culture

in mumbai i saw few public toilets and they were ok...............

in up i visited fatehpur sikri..and you have to walk for fort from the bus stop..............:(

while in hyderabad i visited golconda fort and the city bus took me next to the fort.......:D

so andhra is better developed than up and thats what you can see in tourism facility....

while fort of fatehpur sikri is big tourist attraction as compared to golconda fort

Re: Three Ts of Culture

Never heard about fatehpur, goa,Shimla and taj mahal is what people always talk about.

Re: Three Ts of Culture

Sahir makes ppl follow traffic rules now :hehe: not culture :nahi:

Re: Three Ts of Culture

Fatehpur Sikri was developed by Akbar for his dearest queens including Jodha Bai :D

Re: Three Ts of Culture

Akbar wanted to shift his capital to fateh pur…and shrine of famous sufi saint Hazrat Salimuddin chishti RA is situated in fatehpur …

Fatehpur Sikri - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

P.S.its merely 40 km away from agra…

Re: Three Ts of Culture

Kinda agree, but following rules and breaking rules is rooted down in any culture. Like they say, same people follow traffic rules when they are in Europe / USA (even Middle east) and consider their right to break the same when in Pakistan

Re: Three Ts of Culture

well if you dont follow the rule , Sahir takes a shot and you gotto pay fine

so many ppl follow rules now.
but either ways before sahir , the ppl in my city were a lot more civilized than the ppl in Jeddah.Jeddah drivers were bad

Re: Three Ts of Culture

sahir means sahir lodhi?
