three problems as I see them

“If its not broke then don’t fix it”

I reckon, that’s the precise policy that Javed Miandad is making in his comments/decisions.

Shoaib accused of ‘tarnishing Pakistan’s pride’](http://uk.cricinfo.com/link_to_database/ARCHIVE/CRICKET_NEWS/2003/JUL/213207_PAK_08JUL2003.html)

A civil court in Lahore has summoned Shoaib Akhtar to respond to a private petition alleging that statements he made about fellow cricketers tarnished Pakistani pride.

Akhtar’s comments were made last month in an interview with the London-based Guardian newspaper. “Imagine if I was playing for Australia with Glenn McGrath and Jason Gillespie softening them up, then I come on, I’d have got more wickets than anyone ever,” he said. “When I play for Pakistan, with Wasim Akram and Waqar Younis they are in decline. They were great but they’re not match-winning bowlers any more. So I have to make it all happen on my own.”

Akhtar is unlikely to appear at the first hearing as he is currently Playing in England for Durham. He will also miss Pakistan’s home series against Bangladesh next month before returning home in late September.

plzzzzzzzzz for God sake .. get Younis Khan out of the team !! We dont need loosers like him , just compare him with likes of Sarwan , Samuels , Kaif , Sangakara & Yuvraj who have played almost same number of matches and see how many Younis has won us .. plzz !!

If you want to kick him then please kick out Youhana as well, how many matches has he won us. The names you mentioned above are all in the same level as Younis Khan.
Younis Khan has won us many matches in the past, most famous ones comming to mind is 2nd One Dayer in Super Challenge II, 3rd ODI was NZ in Rawalpindi, 1st match against Sri Lanka in Morroco, and the final against Zimbabwe in Sharjah recently.

Thats got to be a joke ?? U’re saying Younis khan in the league of Sarwan & Yuvraj ..these guys have won their respective countries more than half the matches they’ve played in … and Younis winning just less than even 5 % of the matches he has played .. comprasion zabar10 hai … yeah right :rotfl: :rotfl:

No these guys are good and so is Younis Khan, its a shame that everyone around him stumbles, unlike Sarwan and Yuvraj who always had someone to bat the innings with.
Younis Khan has been the most consistent batsman for the Paki team for the past 12 months.
Its no joke friend, he has won us many matches, maybe you should start watching cricket rather then reading the scorecards.

Who do people want if Younis Khan is removed? We will have one more spot to fill, we are already struggling for so many spots in the team. Younis Khan is fine at his spot, I don't see anybody capable enough to replace him right now. His scoring has been much better than our "best batsman" Yousuf Youhanna of late. Its not just after World Cup, he has played fairly in many games before WC too.

My dear friend , I'm talking abt comparing Younis with the others.May be Hasan Raza woiuld have done a lot better if he would have played or even Moin Khan can be more handy , trust me.Its not that late.We shold try a better batter than him.

Lahore High Court warns Shoaib

LAHORE: The Lahore High Court on Tuesday warned express bowler Shoaib Akhtar of stern action if he failed to appear over a petition demanding an apology for his criticisms about fellow cricketers, officials said.

“Shoaib or his lawyer must appear in the court on September 1 and respond to a petition against his newspaper interview,” Judge Mudassar Umer Bodla said.

“A new summons will be issued against him,” a court official said. The judge took a serious view of the failure of Akhtar to respond to an earlier subpoena about two weeks ago, the official said. A local resident, Syed Najmul Abbas, filed the petition earlier this month demanding an apology from Akhtar for his newspaper interview, claiming that it hurt the national integrity.

Shoaib, 27, known as ‘Rawalpindi Express’ for his extraordinary pace, reportedly told Britain’s Guardian newspaper in June: “Imagine if I was playing for Australia with Glenn McGrath and Jason Gillespie softening them up, I’d have got more wickets than anyone ever, mate.”

He went on: "Because when I play for Pakistan, with Wasim Akram and Waqar Younis they are in decline.

They were great but they’re not match-winning bowlers any more. So I have to make it all happen on my own."

**Shoaib, who has called the petition a publicity stunt, is likely to miss the hearing as he is currently playing for Durham in the English domestic country cricket competition.

The petitioner’s lawyer Ansar Mahmood Bajwa said cricketers are role models for young people and “must act properly”.**

…and Mr. Bendy calls the petition a public stunt. Why can’t he just shut his mouth for once? He knows what he said about Wasim and Waqar then why is he being so defensive? :hehe: Apologize to what he said and move on…
