I am Punjabi and my Parents speak Punjabi all the time and I answer them back in Urdu but i speak Punjabi with my grandparents and English with every one else..........I am proud of my multi-lingual abilities.

My dad had an old friend who spoke urdu and after like 6 years of friendship he found out that his parents spoke punjabi but they didn’t teach him.

"I asked my dad why? He replied saying cause his parents didn’t want him saying SCHOOLA instead of SCHOOL. i swear thats what his parents told him!!!

Now idiots out there who might take this personally…well don’t cuz i’ve got a lot friends that are punjabi and so does my family. It’s just funny as hell when my dad told me that.

lol… thats hilarious… my parents are punjabi and they never spoke in punjabi with us when we were kids… and now they only talk to us in punjabi when they are yalling at us…yea punjabi is a funny language…
