My dad had an old friend who spoke urdu and after like 6 years of friendship he found out that his parents spoke punjabi but they didn’t teach him.
I asked my dad why? He replied saying cause his parents didn’t want him saying SCHOOLA instead of SCHOOL. 
i swear thats what his parents told him!!!
Now idiots out there who might take this personally…well don’t cuz i’ve got a lot friends that are punjabi and so does my family. It’s just funny as hell when my dad told me that.

Yea, my parents don't really teach me much Punjabi. They want me to learn Urdu instead. I think it's because Punjabi appears to be a bit more "rough", but I don't think it is at all. There's so many jokes that would only sound funny if said in Punjabi :).
