Bombs in Philippine Mall Kill Six
(Reuters) - Bombs ripped through the main shopping district of a mostly Christian city in an area of the southern Philippines at the heart of Muslim insurgency Thursday, killing six and wounding about 150. It was the second major bomb attack in southeast Asia in less than a week and suspicion immediately focused on a radical Muslim group also being investigated for Saturday’s explosions on the Indonesian island of Bali, in which more than 180 people died. The military blamed radicals fighting for an Islamic state in the south of the Roman Catholic nation and said investigators were looking into the possible involvement of the militant Jemaah Islamiah group

I think this kind of activity combined with the Bali terrrorism attack will surely make it a global effort to combat this scourge. It’s sad, it takes so much blood from the innocents to make people realize that the world is fighting the same battle, even if they are not involved directly.

Without an effective change in policies of BOTH the sides, this scourge will never go away. Just look at Palestine and Israel. One parties concessions alone never resolve a matter. Efforts have to be made from both sides, and not just military efforts, but diplomatic and political as well.
A problem that has political roots cannot be ended by force. The world has settled in with the notion that if they change their policies to accomodate the demands of their enemies, they are rewarding terrorism. At least thats the mentality that has been drummed into them by the US. israel holds back millions of Palestinian funds, saying that those dollars will go to fund terrorists. UN holds billions from Iraq saying that it will be used to make WMDs. What they dont realize is that most of those funds also go to the civilians.
Right now, its a fight between 2 power drunken sides, thats all...and its the innocents in between, who are paying for it all with their lives.

Akif what is your suggestion? Submit to Islamic Militants? This group is connected with the al Qaeda terror network.

How do you know that? CIA, FBI sources. Sheesh!

The militant group J.I has been linked to the bali bombing which has links to al-Qaida.

Another terrorist attack in Philippines. Bus bombing this time. Eerily familiar to Israel. Terrible!!!

Before blaming some one for doing something you should have proof that your government has never provided. Neither in Afghanistan nor in Iraq.
Giving all fault to some Muslim Rebels is all USA and the International Community can think of. THe only reason why this group is linked to Al-Qaida is, that the leader of this group declared Bush as an enemy and praised Osama.
Is that enough for proof?!

Proof, are you blind? Bin Laden said he was behind the attacks. Iraq has not allowed inspectors in for 4 years, pick up a newspaper before coming here.

The groups doesn't even exists.

Why doesn't Indonesian Govt. dare to find any evidence against Abu Bakar?

The groups doesn't even exists.<<<<

Tiger, that’s the ultimate objective. No such group will be tolerated from now on.

Can you show me the general proof you are talking about?
I saw some blah blah but was that the specific proof they needed?
Darn, who gives you the right to coordinate any inspectors into any country that doesn't belong to you?
May I ask where the UN inspectors where, when USA was nr 1 in building up chem and bio weapons (and they still are!), who easy could have prevented the Anthrax cases ? You still think it was Al Qaida, dream on!

Dude, is there any evidence against Abu Bakar found yet by Indonesian Govt. behind Bali Attacks? NO!

Tiger, is there any evidence found against Bush in Afghanistan? Abu Bakar does not do the dirty work, he only instructs. He is an instructor. I will show you an article about the speech that Abdul-waheed Rehman (the ex Indonesian president) delivered last year to Australian parliament warning them about Terrorists. This stupid nonsense about evidence is an old game. Everyone knows who the bad guys are. No one asks for evidence for American involvement, everyone just believe it with their eyes closed, but now they want evidence?

When a Mullah delivers hate in Friday sermons, that is more than enough evidence of his involvement in terror activities. That’s what Abu Bakar does. And you know what else, tomorrow he will come on TV and admit it, and you will still be asking for the evidence.

He went to Jakarta court day after the attacks, in front of journalists, dared Govt. to find any single evidence against him

It is the fault of Indonesian Govt. who didn't take warnings seriously given by the United States.

Well NYA if you are talking about hate against America, then half of Earth must be terrorist!

Ali—you are absolutely right, but I would venture out to say it is more than Half of the world, it includes communists, religious bigots, hungry and uneducated masses, and hippies (that's about 2/3rd of the world). People who are happy and content with themselves don’t hate America. By the way, in your opinion, what %age of the world hates Saudi Arabia? And Pakistan?

I don't deny facts and another fact is that S.A is hated as much as USA. If not more.
But your argument about only ppl who are happy and content with themselves hate America (or lets say dislike) is a false one.
Since I'm a very happy and content one (thanks to god) and still dont prefer almighty A's doings and sayings around the globe, makes an exception....ME.

And as we all know sometimes exception proves the rule!
