Atleast they get elected on offices they are 'allowed' to hold unlike your Musharraf, a military dictator.
Yaar .. Musharraf also got elected. He got elected more ways than any of past 'jali' democrats.
For instance, Musharraf got elected in 2002 directly getting vote from people.
He got elected in assembly by elected MNAs belonging to all parties ... PPP (sharpao as well as PPP Patriots), PML and even religious parties (MMA).
Than in 2007 again he got elected by MNAs (who are directly elected members of people) ... He got vote of 57 percent of elected members in all 3 houses.
Now I know that you may start saying that all eletions were rigged. But if that is what you would like to argue in your support than I can also say that all thsoe democrats you believe to have public mandate, none really ever had public mandate but all got to assembly because of rigging (without any exception) and real person that ever won the election (got public mandate) was 'Kafil bahi' who was never allowed to get into assembly as regardless of whatever vote he got in election, he was declared looser and lost his deposit.
So, either accept the public mandate that Musharraf got ... or reject all public mandate any person ever got in Pakistan or will ever get in Pakistan (be the person from any political party).
