Re: this question is in my head…

Brother Sheraz CT - In your earlier post (no. 20) (quoted in part below), I guess in oversight  you forgot to list the “our women” bit (read wives) among the Prophet’s (saw) Ahlul Bait ( May Allah (swt) be pleased with them all).

Re: this question is in my head…

that shows your knowledge of the Islamic history and Quran.

Re: this question is in my head...

mere pyare bhai ibne siddique :)

the only woman who joined Prophet Mohummad (pbuh&up) was Bibi Fatima (a.s.)..i thought u guys agreed with it too..do you have some hadith (which i don't know) that says more than one woman joined Prophet (pbuh&up) that day?

Re: this question is in my head...

^ Of we agree on that Sheraz, no question about it, but if you read the ayat in question a lot more are included than what you have named.

"then say: Come let us call our sons ** and your sons and *our women * and your women and **our near people and your near people,"

HZ. Ali, Hz. Fatima, Hz. Hassan, Hz. Hussain ( raa) represented all those the Quran had stated (our sons *, **our women * and **our near people).

Re: this question is in my head...

ibne sadique..that day Prophet (pbuh&up) only took the following people with him..don't we all agree on that? why must you bring wives into the discussion? did any of his wives joined him that day?

our sons = Hassan (a.s.) and Hussain (a.s.)
our women = Fatima (a.s.)
our near people = Nafs = Ali (a.s.)

Re: this question is in my head…

What is your understanding of the following ayah?

Certainly your Master is Allah and His Messenger and those who believe who eshtablish prayer and give charity while they bow. And who ever takes Allah and His Messenger and those who believe as a guardian, so surely the party of Allah will be victorious. (Quran 5:55-56)

Re: this question is in my head…

Do you need a reason to mourn over the Prophet’s (saww) death? Just because none of the other prophets or prophet Mohammad died that way you won’t mourn over their deaths? I’m not saying that everyone should though. It’s just a sensible thought.

Re: this question is in my head...

mention of ahl-el-bait in the Quran....

verse 11:73 - the person who is addressed here as ahle-lbait is the wife of Ibrahim (as)

verse 33:33 - the wives of teh prophet (saw) r told in this verse not to come out with the make-up as was the norm in the jahiliya and also the whole address is to females (i hope u understand arabic grammar and distinction of gender)

laides and gentlemen, these r the only two places in the Quran where ahl-el-bait is mentioned....
now if someone says that WIVES r not to be included in ahl-el-bait than he can live happily with his own meanings of ahl-el-bait, and we shall stick to the meaning Allah has chosen in the Quran....

Re: this question is in my head...

What ignorance!!!

It is proved from several hadiths in Sahih Bukhari, Sahih Muslim and many more that the AHle Bayt DOES not include the wives of the Holy Prophet(saw). Furthermore at mubhaila the prophet(saw) only took imam Ali(as), bibi Fatima(sa), imam Hassan and Hussain(as) with him(saw). Where were his wives then??
