It is hardly over one month that Yousuf Raza Gilani became the Prime Minister. Now how come it isn’t possible that he won’t bring his son in the assembly too. Looks like Pakistanis are destined to keep on having an “Aaqa” , “Ghulam” relationship forever.
Gilani’s young son is now on the list to become the member of the assembly. There is no issue of “degree”, no issue of “Merit” or “electibility” in Pakistan. If you are the son of PM , you are 100% elected.
Alhamdulilallah. This is very good news. Children of MNA’s in Pakistan should automatically come into power or be eligible for a vacant MNA seat. This saves a lot of hassle and time that would be wasted going through an in-depth selection process. :k:
Is there anyone who knows this guy?? Not even the people where he is going to contest the elections. … Noy only his application is going to be accepted because he is the son of PM… but also he would be an MPA soon, again only based on Aali Jaah’s kursi… Now what do you call it??.. Just simply out of Luck ??..His Government has already taken out many rules like compulsory degrees etc etc …

yah ... that really sux! exactly same thing when the dictator imported a citibank manager who wasn't even living in Pakistan since ages - got him "elected" from a constituency where no one even knew his name and installed him as a puppet prime minister. Its the same game, different names. Why crying only now?

Ya....the big difference is ...He did not leave any spots of his political legacy behind in the country...
But here one would see Dada, baap, poota and a whole queue of family members on the kursi of power for generations to come... Ordinary people would be under their debt forever, as they are the ones that are supposed to be the "only" ones entitled to to be in power...regardless of their qualifications etc etc.....

May be you should watch the election process and raise a flag if you find/hear of fraud.

So his application should be rejected because he is son of PM because of fear of nepotism?

Do you have any of his credentials? Do you know for a fact whether he is educated or not?
I agree taking out rule of graduation is a bad move, but then what have "parhay likhay" people achieved? I hear "lawyers"/army-generals-brigadiers are parhay likhay too. May be thats a separate topic.
^^:hehe: Lets not forget the unprecedented credit crisis in Pakistan right now due to the nepoticized appointment of Shaukat Aziz whose excuse for lack of electricity was that people are buying more electronics and we don’t have enough electricity to provide for that. People don’t need to eat they can finance a new fridge even if there’s nothing inside it. Why worry about gas prices, just finance a car, anyone can, yes you can too. MashaAllah
If he was in USA, his fate would’ve been that of ENRON CEO’s, behind bars!

Even if i have, i would not be elected as i am not the son of PM and so won't you or anyone here on GS just based on qualifications. Secondly Pakistani culture has gone down to that an extent until and unless "you know someone inside" you won't get your work done.
Well Shaukat Aziz’s appointment has nothing to do with the trend of Political Inheritance in Pakistan… BB ka beta Bilawal, Nawaz Sharif ka poora khaandan and now Gilani’s family and many many others . Nawaz Sharif’s daughter even got admission into the Medical College after doing Intermediate in Arts, this is what nepotism is all about.

Thats because he knows how much izzat (or lack of izzat) he has amongst the people. He also knows its pointless to bring his bachoongra for further loot maar, as he will finish the job effectively himself and keep self imposing his dictatorship and corruption on us, till he sucks out the very last breath. This is why bachoongra lives in the US, runs a few companies in Pakistan, and doesnt have to worry about a prospective political career in Pakistan.
^ As if Nawaz Sharif, Benazir Bhutto, AA Zardari and others in their lot has made "Izzat" in their peoples hearts(except for controlling their people's daily lives , while behaving as Lord's )...Please don't make me laugh with your deep analysis.
^Ok..... Then that's what this thread is about....
These political hegemonies with family names and titles carried on for generations among very few of the country's elites. And then they call their own families as "new faces".
Even how much you are qualified you can not make your name at this age (as this guy is) in Pakistan until you have a political inheritance.
Well I don't favor political inhheritance at all but that doesn't mean I have to agree with that one statement of yours when I don't find it quite right.
