My husband gives me my NFL uninterupted August-January, I let him have his stupid getting up at 3 am to watch cricket…it’s a win-win situation

LOL…that’s a nice trade-off since both of you happen to be major sports fans (although different sports). 
See something like this would never work for me since I’m not a sports fan in general (although I do love watching the Cowboy’s cheerleaders…lol). Losing hubby to football ever single Sunday for 6 months just sound depressing to me.

Well we brits do like our sarcastic remakes but they are rude. There is a reason why sarcasm is called the lowest form of wit.
When you use that (violin) comment, you are belittling or making fun of someone's complaint or misfortune. That's all very well amongst friends and stuff but with someone you don't know very well.....
If I met someone who was being sarcastic with me when we barely knew each other I'd think "what a.........."

In our first few text messages exchanges - i asked him 'so what do you do for work? do you enjoy it? ' and his reply via text was ' so you gonna take my interview like your dad' and then I told him i was watching an arabic film or something later on and he said ' yalllah so this is what med school has done to you? i have 0 recommendations for that rubbish ' :/
hence i thought oh hes really jokey AND can take a joke - well I guess not ......or he just doesn't get it?
I said to him oh sorry british people are really ironic and asked him to bear with me so lets see what happens.
Yes the working from 8-10pm and the watching foortball from 11 am to 12 pm on sunday and the fantasy football sounds a little hardcore.
We share the common interest of really wanting to travel and eating out etc though.
Lets see what happens.

It was all going well until he spent 30 mins explaining how he loves to spend sundays playing fantasy football for 12 hours and then i got confused because i thought he meant REAL football ( as in soccer) :P
Uhmmm are you more worried about the football/soccer confusion or that he plays online 12 yhours a day?

Does his job actually require him to work those crazy hours OR is he a workaholic by choice? Also, you may want to find out how many weeks of vacation he gets.
Has he actually travelled to various places? Is he even willing to travel during football season?
LOL.....I know it sounds petty........but based on the impression I'm getting so far......if he continues to keep up with his work hours after marriage, and is a very hardcore football fan.....you won't be seeing much of him (let's not even get into trying to schedule vacations with his work schedule/NFL devotion!).

I get the impression he is a workaholic because he called from the office - 9pm his time and I asked him if he had loads to do and he said hes here because he has nothing to do at home...........?
He said hes gonna ease up in the next two years and move into consultancy. Whether this will happen or not need to work out more.
And he told my dad everything about work but as a mentioned above he didnt really tell me.

Is he finance or IT? If yes then very possible. Also he is single, so cut him some slack. One should be happy that he is spending time at work instead of wasting out on streets.
Also, he is probably assuming that your dad has told you everything about him. No one like direct interview unless its for job or by girl's father as there are no ways out of both situations. So go slow....

2) Yeh like in next two years i will be CEO.

i just want to let you know that in America there is no guarantee of job. so if you are looking at his job it mayt be superficial. you have to concentrate on his education. in this economy, anything could happen with anyone.
