Re: Third US state to allow firms to refuse gay customers.
sometimes i have dreams where i add one and one and get three. but that doesnt mean when i wake up mathematics is now meaningless to me or different.
anyway, coming to the homosexuality thing - at least the christian para-scientists have gone through their attempts to cure homosexuals in so many ways. all ending the same way.
i’d like to see those who think their faith has better answers than evolution actually do real-world research, spend time and effort in an objective manner in finding proof and bringing it forward. after all, these are really big contentions, if proven can turn the world to their faith in the blink of an eye. yet, nothing of that sort happens.
Re: Third US state to allow firms to refuse gay customers.
I did not write off science, or study of evolving genes.
But again I have experienced.
2 para christian thing.
3 para. Sorry but such arguments have played out. No one would convert unless they honestly looking for the truth.
Tomorrow if I find recording of spirits saying “there is a after life” What are chance people wont find a reason to deny it ?
The knock out magic you are looking for is already here. But people find twisted ways not to believe it.
bye
Re: Third US state to allow firms to refuse gay customers.
Right now Indiana (and AK) are facing huge backlash & Mike Pence (the Governor of IN) is trying to backpedal. Many companies are threatening to leave the state and others are calling for boycotting the states. Btw, these are deeply conservative states controlled by right wing nutjobs.
Re: Third US state to allow firms to refuse gay customers.
If there is objective proof of something, then believing in it would not more be called ‘faith’ but ‘fact’. If there was a God that we all could see and hear, then believing in such a God would not be called ‘faith’.
Back to the topic.
Please notice that it is the ‘religious nut-jobs’ being criticized for this fiasco but not ‘Christianity’. Unfortunately this doesn’t happen when Muslim ‘religious nut-jobs’ go crazy.
Re: Third US state to allow firms to refuse gay customers.
well if people choose to deny factual evidence about real world matters on the basis of faith, and insist others outside their faith respect that, i dont think it is out of order to want at the very least to see some sincerity in action from those of this faith-based convictions. now if this were a question on if white jins have more superpowers than pink fairies, not a problem. go with faith. but can’t let faith dictate important and real issues such as who gets discriminated against, what our relationship with the planet we live on is, etc.
Re: Third US state to allow firms to refuse gay customers.
Many people do present their faith as fact. Then they look down upon other faiths, and those who have no faith at all.
Even those who extend people of faith courtesy of not scrutinizing their faith with a critical mind, are sometimes ridiculed.
Many people of faith do not want to adopt a “live and let live” approach, because they view such an approach a threat to their faith.
Some people even prescibes persecution and (at worst) capital punishment for renouncing faith, so faith is serious stuff to many, and not merely a “belief”.
Re: Third US state to allow firms to refuse gay customers.
Actually, believers of Islamic faith are content with their belief that any paranormal or normal activities they experience is real because they are recognized by their faith. They can only confess that it is ‘real’ based on their experience and advocate the same. If any faithless humans do not admit the existence of God, the world, and all the seen/unseen creatures are all one God’s creation, if anyone who needs to carry out a ‘research’ for their benefit is those nonbelievers because it is not anyone else’s problem but their own for not believing in God and the elements connected with the existence of God.
Part 10.36 - 10.58 minutes of the following video is for you and all the people who ‘reject’ the signs, known facts which are all around them so that they could deny God’s existence to feel good.
It is God who chooses whom to bring light to. If He has not chosen you to see it, no matter how many ‘researches’ are put forth or how many ‘signs’ are presented before your naked eyes, you would still end up rejecting them with one or the other excuse. Common believers dont have patience to waste time on nonbelievers (I dont to be honest). Maybe very patient religious preachers do. Similarly, I dont think there are many muslim scientist who have that kind of patience either so they dont bother carrying out such researches for the nonbelievers who eventually would reject it, anyway. If they deny the clear signs all around them, why will they not deny the unseen? Nobody can help such people ‘see’ if it is not God’s will for them.
Re: Third US state to allow firms to refuse gay customers.
Not just islamic faith, pretty much every religious group believes in their superstitions as being real. question here is, if you want your belief to be accepted in a society where others dont share the belief, proof is essential to convince the others. if you cant be bothered to bring forth any proof, do not ask for acceptance of things that make no sense to others.
Re: Third US state to allow firms to refuse gay customers.
Was browsing thru religious section after some time. A thread on idol worship or destruction caught my attentiom. Idol worship was labeled ignorant. Considering there are Hindus in Pakistan this is offensive to those Hindus who worship idols. How would a muslim feel if someone were to say those who follow Islam are ignorant.
re destruction there were some who fell if idol.is being worshipped it ought to be destroyed. Others argued that if idols.are not being worshipped they shoukd not be destroyed and be preserved as historical
Which misses the point. You don’t go around destroying items that are holy 5o others just cause they are not holy to you. Period. Fine point. End of story.
Re: Third US state to allow firms to refuse gay customers.
Queer uncle you keep chanting about proof? What proof do YOU have that what others believe is false? Honestly, I am flabbergasted by this superiority complex of some people, if monotheists can’t prove there is God or supernatural etc. then nonbelievers cannot prove that there isn’t either. In other words if monotheists are not making any sense, neither are you.
Re: Third US state to allow firms to refuse gay customers.
I want my belief to be accepted by you? No I dont. You must be mistaking me for someone else.
Educating someone when they dont know something, have misconceptions about my faith and also genuinely seek to learn the correct teachings is one thing. Any believer would like to help you ‘see’ it. For that, you’ll need to do a little moving around in your city, meet serious religious preachers, read up and not post anti-God comments, rejecting proofs of God’s existence from your keyboard while sitting on the couch just for the sake of fun or coming across as ‘cool’. Your argument is based on dishonesty and denial, not a genuine desire to know. Any careful observer must have noticed that from what you post. So, as I stated before, I dont waste time on such nonbelievers the purpose of whose existence is only to reject God. God does not need you. You need God. And nothing will make sense to you if it is not God’s will for things to make sense to you. So, instead of asking others to provide you with ‘proofs’, if you really are honest in your quest, beg God to permit the knowledge to come to you… not necessarily by way of words but by way of experience. Then you wont need to ask me or anyone else like that on an online forum to give you ‘proofs’. Because with the will of God, proofs themselves will come to your drawing room for your understanding. Im not God and I cant help you ‘see’ anything when you dont want to. I have said what I had to and Im very clear. It’s not making sense to you because you do not want it to.
So now, stop wasting mine and your time by going around in circles and repeat the same rhetoric in every new post of yours. It’s got very boring.
Re: Third US state to allow firms to refuse gay customers.
Islam provide protection to minorities and their places of worship idol worshipers or not, period. Anyone who advocates otherwise is not telling you Islamic but satanic teachings.
Re: Third US state to allow firms to refuse gay customers.
thats fine. no proof? then no law hating on homos because some people’s god told them so. that is all. otherwise no one cares if you believe in one god or 20.54 to the power of pi gods without proof.
Re: Third US state to allow firms to refuse gay customers.
monk, my take is this. if i am convinced something is correct logically, i believe it. on the same token, if i am convinced something is bs, there is no way i am going to pretend i believe it. a lot of things fall in between.
and evolution makes a lot of sense, try to read up on it instead of blindly rejecting it because you were born into a certain faith.
Re: Third US state to allow firms to refuse gay customers.
You still don’t get it huh. For people who believe in lets say a God for example, there is ‘proof’ everywhere, from living organisms as complex as humans to the massive amounts of planets, stars, galaxies etc. etc. Now you may not see it that way but that doesn’t mean what they believe is wrong. And as far as people who are creating laws against gays, their proof is the bible. Again you may think, it’s not legitimate enough but it doesn’t matter because it is to them.
