THINK POSITIVE MOVEMENT

We NEED to start a new **THINK POSITIVE MOVEMENT **in this forum…

For the amount of negative energy running through here is astounding!!

To me it looks like about 80% of member posting here need a motivation therapy or something similar (excluding our eastern neighboring imposters who are here on a dedicated mission to create the max. strife and to enjoy seeing us fighting like little girls).

C’mon everyone… you can do better than this…

See things in their context and stop doing these “analysis” of how Pakistan will look like in 2012, 2020 or “greater Pashtunistan” or "whatever. STOP posting if you can’t post something good. Dont just post for the sake of posting and getting replies. That would be a GREAT help for us all

It all starts with these sort of negative thinking…in your minds and then it builds upon that. Don’t create this foundation there.

Start believing in yourself. Believe in positive self esteem..

Dire times for the beloved country… acknowledged. But when we didn’t have those times? This is the fighting spirit in us that is going to sail us through and NOT this giving up attitude.

Whenever I come to this forum all my positive energy goes down the cellar…I bet many of us feel the same.

I wish to change this for all of us.

Join the THINK POSITIVE MOVEMENT in this forum and please say something that motivates us.

Thank you very much … all of you Pak folks outta there…

Blessing be upon you all.

Agreed 100%................:biggthumb

If us Pakistani's quite the petty bickering amoung ourselves no outside force can ever influence what goes on inside Pakistan!

Glad to see we both are on the same bandwidth, SindSagar...

Just to put things in perspective...

Pakistan is TWICE the size of Germany!
Both in area and population.

Germany is boring, to be honest. Everywhere same Germans... Beer, Currywurst, Oktoberfest... They themselves are tired of this monotone culture.

And we are so lucky to have so many different cultures within one huge country, isn't it great?

Agreed DW bro.

Positive thinking for sure will help us individually and Pakistan too.

I'll just add that we must include the West and other hardworking nations as part of our positive thinking.

You talked about Germany. We must treat them with respect for their culture and learn as much as we can from them.

Keep up the good work.

Re: THINK POSITIVE MOVEMENT

Nice post...lets see how we will fare in that... :)

PS: Actually its the mods' job to cleanup the negativities and the affairs against Pakistan...

PS1: I...personally don't engage in trivials and in extreme cases...put the posters on ignore...bingo! :D

Germany...after WWII who could have imagined this country would rise from the ashes to become the export superpower of the world?

Same for Japan...

There will be people talking about Marshall Plan and all that, but no Marshall Plan or whatever would have helped if these nations only focused on the dark side instead of working hard.

More recent example: Russia... Have been there in early 90s, have seen the dire straits it was in. Pakistan is 10 million times better than what Russia was in early 90s.

They are back.... Respect! Thanks to positive thinking + hardwork!

Its not just putting people on ignore list.
In my opinion we should show them their own positive side for the sake of our collective future.

(Again Indian imposters excluded).

Re: THINK POSITIVE MOVEMENT

Nothing positive to report ...?

C'mon guys, make our day. :)

When something is on fire...we simply don't need discussions but deeds...the discussions I leave it to Japanese... :D

PS: Ignoring people and slashing things is my business...think around!

Zabardast bro, I remember once reading a message from a poster which I found very interesting.

Something like "We Pakistani are champion pessimists and drama loving" people.

How true! We go around whining about every small negative event happens in our country without caring how badly would it damage our image.

Big positive things on the other hand, which do not have drama effect are not even noticed.

How sad!

I know so many Pakistanis who are working very hard here for polishing Pak image abroad. Hats off to them all...

I think we need to encourage people living in Pakistan to duiscuss things on this formum...rather imposing our opinions as expats... :)

Not imposing anything on anyone bro.

Just sharing...

I read a story in newspaper how one expat living in Australia organized thousands of $$ to send to Pak via banks. That was his part, a drop in the ocean, but very motivating!

Re: THINK POSITIVE MOVEMENT

cmon peeps i need some positive energy.....

Re: THINK POSITIVE MOVEMENT

petty motives and ruffled startched egos are the causes behind lack of unity and cynicism. each to their own and then disgruntled sense of being awry because of jealousy why the next person is better off.

there is no healthy sense of honesty not fair competition.

think positive movement can be only possible, when youth and students in all schools and colleges, begin to change their ways and focus on education, when the leadership in the country can agree on the important issues that can be decided on, keeping the best interests of nation in their minds. when conscientious efforts are at work, in all villages, towns and cities, across all aspects of lives and all workfields, when people can admit to a concerted effort of better lives for all and for their own selves.

balanced exchange of ideas and patience to hear each other, in a civil manner, as well as an untiring comittment to honesty is required.

without that, no positive movement can take place and grow.

Dushwari jee, I absolutely agree on your observation about what is needed for such a movement to be successful i.e.:

  • take it to the grass roots and educate
  • be honest.. be committed
  • have patience ...above all get united!

But the question is how WE the members of GS can do our bit to educate our people?

I mean not just some discussion here, few words there.... but concrete action!

C'mon people lets share our ideas about what WE can do? And this time it means some real action..!

Re: THINK POSITIVE MOVEMENT

^^by our people do u mean peeps in pakistan, or the paki peeps on GS?

Re: THINK POSITIVE MOVEMENT

colorful eyes,

that very intonation with which you have shared your thought, is enough to indicate a particualr sense of suspicion that ideally should not be there.

when we are hoping to invite people to a cause, we should not sound suspicious of anyone, no?

Both.

A little motivation is always needed.

Please share your ideas, if you would like to. :)

Re: THINK POSITIVE MOVEMENT

Motivation is too think positive :) instead of thinking why cant i do something, we should think how can i do tht....

when i did my driving test i failed twice coz i have this thing where i get really nervous..
so i went to my doc and he told me when i get nervous i should think of something positive and think of a time tht made me happy(to distract my attention).and i passed....

Good thread and Good post.

I must say both negative and positive threads or comments should be welcomed. The condition should be that they should all mean well and not just criticism and leg pulling.

I did not have a chance to make coment in a positive thread about Mustafa Kamal-the mayor of Karachi. Regardless he was ranked on whichever position. Hope he does not care and he is one positive contributor to Pakistan and Karachi. Indeed a great man with vision and sincerity.
We should all encourage people like him regrardless of any party he belongs to or we support.

I am sure there are many other good people some revealed and many hidden, but the country needs a lot of more hard working honest people.

Well, the reality is - and each of the visitors to this forum can feel it - that most of the negative posts are aimed at dramatizing the situation on ground. Its more like putting salt on the wounds than to heal.

What we need is an "Glass is half full" attitude.

I totally agree with your remarks that a good deed done by someone in Pak that makes us all proud, no matter by whom... must be lauded and advertised. To motivate others.

So I dare asking question to all negative thread openers. What is the reason/motivation or purpose behind your thread?

1) To add fuel to already volatile situation?
2) Your pessimism can't see anything positive in Pak?
3) To offer some solutions?
4) Or it is just that you are bored in your New York / Sydney / London apartment and have nothing else to do?
