Apart from many concerns and idea of two different nations, people shared a lot of common things, tastes, etc on both sides of the border.
There might be lot of products , produced in one part of the country that eventually become part of other country, and people kept on remembering those products and importing those products in their country. Like Paan ka patta. Heard that Paan and tobacco were imported by Pakistanis from India, whenever they got chance.
What are other Indian / Pakistani products, that people demanded when someone visited India or Pakistan?

Rooh Afza is actually a product from Delhi India. Hakeem Muhammad Saeed (who introduced it from Hamdard Pakistan) migrated from India and his elder brother opt to live in India. Hamdard India is still there in Delhi.
Introduced in 1907, RoohAfza has been the country’s favorite drink for generations. RoohAfza’s taste, fragrance, colour and goodness remains unsurpassed even after 100 years of its creation. A unique formulation of herbs and pure juices Rooh Afza was developed by the pioneering Unani physician, Hakim Hafiz Abdul Majeed
RoohAfza is an exceptionally appropriate summer drink and great additive for mocktails and desserts. Besides cooling, refreshing, it is also nutritional, maintains and adjusts the body’s water level. It also helps in keeping one active and energetic.
Re: Things that India Pakistan kept on exchanging after partition
since imports from Pakistan and all other countries for that matter was banned so we hardly knew Pakistani Products on Indian Markets.
we knew Karachi Halwa [actually made in India] and Peshawrii sandals [also made in India]...that's about it.
i think, in the last 10 years or so, India opened up for some of the Pakistani products.
some items were imported on manufacturing levels which public didn't know.
Pakistani clothes are popular and Pakistani fashion designers do expos in India. I think recently lot of products have opened up both sides.
Re: Things that India Pakistan kept on exchanging after partition
but smuggling and exhnage of items through people who visited India / Pakistan was always open. Multani mitti kahan bunti hai India main? :p
Also some mitti was bought legally from Peshawar for a Varanasi temple.
