Questioning "Are you a Muslim" is of course at once an insult and the ultimate put down in the Islamic world. You essentially sword fight with Quranic passages, and whoever can quote the best quote becomes the winner in your mind. Laywers can argue how many angels can dance on the head of a pin, but that does not mean there are angels, not that they can dance on a pin.
You are essentially taking passages out of a large body of work, and dwelling on the passages, and ignoring the context of the passages. The bible is riddled with stories and parables about horrible things that happened in more brutal times. Yet biblical scholars focus on the message of Christ, rather than historic norms of the times.
But you still have not answered my question. If, by your calculation, any tangental helper of Americans can be killed, then can I not kill the helpers of Muslims? If we are indeed at war, do the same rules not apply to me? May I not use any force at my command, and kill anyone who I liberally interpret as helping YOU? In that case, I could claim that the FATA areas are harboring my enemy, and that I can destroy anyone in that area who is assiting my enemy. One nuke ought to do it....
