dude, I have 3 so £30,000 per year means half a crore in Paki rupees, and I’m talking about junior and primary school not high school. I haven’t even added other things like mortgage, car insurance, road tax, council tax, bills, grocery (everything is organic in our house)…and so many other expenditures.

This is for elementary school … I took a look at one of the highest calibre schools in NY - The Green Vale School in Old Brookville, they charge up to $21,400 (for year 2)- I think for three children, plus UK mortgages, UK taxation on income, fuel (travel and energy bills) and food $15,000 per child is not for the average person in the West.
Remember “free” elementary schools in the UK (primary) account for probably up to 70% of that age bracket, so even paying a few thousand dollars is a lot for our standards here. Then you need to factor in money given to relatives in Pak and to parents it sort of makes it feel like a luxury living to be able to send your children to private school.
Ludgrove probably our equivalent to Green Vale is £7,300 per term and there are three terms making it £21,900 per year (not that we intend to send our kids there) … that comes to $34,200 per year - just for 7 to 13 year olds. Now multiply by 3 that makes about your income just for schooling.
The school we intend for our kids is cheap comparative to the facilities it has I give it that … its standard is that of something a lot higher, but they charge reasonably … but that “reasonable” price is only affordable for about 15-20% of the population.

It may be “cheap” for you … but the average people don’t get enough to sustain such expenses … I know with most of our savings currently going in to home improvements I will struggle sending all my kids to private school at this moment in time.

I am not saying its cheap for me. All i am saying i had belief that they could be much more. But 30k for two children can be manageable by middle class working parents, given children will secure scholarship for higher studies. A long term bet?
I know few friends who went to foreman christian Lahore, there social circle is totally different compare to rest of us. With such high end schools & friends also comes the opportunities.
