Themed Parties

Have you been to one?

Have you hosted one?

Any tips? Likes? Dislikes?

Re: Themed Parties

been to star wars party,

Most of the people will enjoy it as its fun, some people think its weird,

depending on the invites (or people you want to invite) it can be fun.

Re: Themed Parties

Never been to a themed party. However ive heard kids these days have themed parties. Guess ive got all that to look forward to with my daughter.:bummer:

Re: Themed Parties

many themed parties. do a few now and then but majority was in college.

morticians masquerade ball/ AKA undertakers party
ahab the arab's tent party
hawaiian cowboy party
redneck ball
space oddity party

pirates and booty party :)

and my personal favourite parties

Knights of the round kegger festival
and the BLT party (boxers, Lingerie and Toga Party)

now obviously, the execution of the theme parties changed quite dramatically sigh also the activities, refreshments and games. but such is life.

so muzna u want to do a college style theme party or a non college theme party :D

Re: Themed Parties

Re: Themed Parties

Re: Themed Parties

Shah ji, you mean to say you went to a Star Wars Convention? Technically thats not a party luv. :p

Re: Themed Parties

M n M, :mocking: it so was.

Re: Themed Parties

you sure? let me quote hazrat tone loc again from his philsosophical works of the ‘wild thang’ and ‘funky cold medina days’

it goes something like this

“sheila was a man”

Re: Themed Parties

Muzna's thread, i'm out :p

Re: Themed Parties

are you saying those supposed "princess leias" read your signature?
wow. please refer back to the philosophocal works of hazrat tone loc that I mentioned.

Re: Themed Parties

so muz, u planning on a theme party

Re: Themed Parties

Royal ball

Re: Themed Parties

Ive done masqurade, toga, magical creatures and general fancy dress, also black and white and some other colour themes like pink.

Re: Themed Parties

well…dunno anymore…not so sure about our community…if it was just the younger generation we might have gotten away with it…I was thinking of something along the lines of the “mughal era” theme…but with so many non-sherwani wearing types…and so many elderly women that will refuse to put on ghararay… :cb:

definitely colour coded attire though…
date: June 2007 inshallah!

Re: Themed Parties

the other problemw ith mughal era parties is that someone may just show up in a redcoat and slaughter ppl there and claim the place as british colony. I would advise against a mughal theme.

Re: Themed Parties

with Ibrahim and his family there's no need to fear redcoats.....it'll already be over-run.....

Re: Themed Parties

okay, I should put my redcoat away then :)

Maddie- false alert, situation is already under control.

Re: Themed Parties

put it away.....but pull out your black sherwani......it'll be required.
same with you maddy.

Re: Themed Parties

oo oooooo mughal themed, that will be soooo beautiful i can just imagine!

good luck on trying to pull it off, what is this party for, if thats ok to ask?
