Many a times. But one or two items at a time back in Pakistan. Once even my drivers license and car registration got stolen from gloves compartment of my car. None of them was shocking as Alhumdulillah the loss was not that big every time it happened. Since I have been in US , Alhumdulillah nothing got stolen. By mistake we left the garage door open many a times overnight with thousands of dollars worth of lawn care equipment nothing got stolen. Kids would leave their bikes laying in the front yard overnight and they will still be there in the morning.
Very lucky! With us the case was different. Me n bros had locked our bikes & scooter against the fence in the yard using a thick wire lock. Next morning everything was gone. Kinda sad n depressing when your 9-10 years old. What made it worst is that some badmash in the neighborhood at that time thought they were tough n cool. Few days later me n few friends saw these much older guys with our bikes hanging out on the corner. A bunch of us kids ganged up and got the bikes back......but a week later they were gone again....don't ask :(
and while we lived in that area of the city, every single bike/scooter whatever parents bought us were stolen every year, almost no way out no matter how careful we were. Whether they stole from the yard, mugged my brothers or threatened my bros with weapons...etc......
