Why should it be broken down?
It wasnt made as a cross. the cross is a geometrical part of the structure, designed to provide stability to the building. Just because people are 'assuming' its a cross is not a valid reason to bring it down.

well its no doubt a very wellmade building, and extremely beautiful, especially when seeen at night with different color lights are spotted on it, it has become a landmark of dubai, n yes it has beeen made on Man made Island, so its the tallest building in the world on a man made island, and is the only 7 star hotel in the Midlle East region
well the forward mail just made me think, tht the person who designed it was very much proud by saying tht he made the largest crucifix in an arab country, n shouldnt he be disappointed by removin tht cucifix, or its just another scandal just like ppl sendings mails abt "Coca Cola" is against Islam, wagera wagera!!!!!!!!
