Ibrahim says; Dear Brother, When Allah (swt) says HE gave "Islam" to mankind and those who follow it are to be called "Muslims", why would He change it to shia?
So in other words , what The prophet (pbuh) enjoined can be negated or “fixed” by what the ahlul bait had instituted? **

This is what you get ibrahim when you don't understand Ahlulbait A.S.
This is the proof of your ignorence with the Rasool's pbuh beloved family.
I don't even feel like answer this very silly remark. Ibrahim, Rasool's beloved Ahlulbait A.S followed everything what My Nabi pbuh taught us.They were the perfect example, and there was no conflict among them.
Atleast you are not pretending to show any love or understanding for Ahlulbait a.s, I will give you full marks for it.

I'm not sure where, but I think it does. If you want more details, go to a Muslim Scholar who knows the Quran by heart or somethin'.

Salaam,
As sister Ramesha pointed out in another thread, the word "Shia" is used in the quran when referring to the followers/supporters of Moses (SAWS).

And btw, the literal meaning of the word Shia is "believer". And in context to the discussion, the word means "One who believes in Hazrat Imam Ali (A.S.)". So if you are a Sunni and u believe in Hazrat Ali (A.S.) you are already a Shia.**

And since the term Sunni implies a follower of the Sunnah, and since Shias draw their beliefs from the Sunnah, one could argue that Shias are already Sunnis too.
In fact, a 1959 fatwa issued by a leading Sunni scholar at Al-Azhar University in Cairo stated that Fiqh Ja'fria is a valid 5th schools of thought amongst the Ahl-e-Sunnah.

Ibrahim says; Could be more due to your lack of knowledge or are you pretending to be a shia?
Ibrahim, Rasool's beloved Ahlulbait A.S followed everything what My Nabi pbuh taught us.They were the perfect example, and there was no conflict among them. *
** Ibrahim says' If that is the case why would the so called shia imams enjoin MUTA = illegal marriage ,when it was forbidden by the Prophet (pbuh) **

We are discussing yaar! I dont understand why all take it so personally. Im not talking "against" SHIA'S?!?
My forfathers were from IRAN and they used to be shia's and we respect SHIA'S and all others as much as can (even other religions). I'm Sunni but this doesnt mean that im picking on SHIAS...no way yaar.
I just wanted to clarify why do shia's pray with open hands....hmmm now i've read ibrahims, changez statements but still i cant figure it out....I mean who, when, how and what got Shia's to do something like this...it is quite a difference.
btw in some sense we are all SHIA'S (followers) of Islam.
"kaisay na karta usko main pyar, uski haseen main sukh thay hazaar, bichar gayay hum dukh ki hay baat"
Instead of bickering about who is what and what is who.
You should all sit back, take time out and realise that the HINDU who originally started this thread ( for the sole purpose of Muslim V Muslim )hasn't made one valid contribution to this thread and is laughing at each and every one of you who fell for the bait.
Keep it up!!
At least that way the Divide and Rule strategy will live on forever.
