My hunch has proven correct. The Yard just announced that the shot man had no connection to the attacks. Suicide bombers tend to take people with them if they are cornered.
Boy this is going to kick up a $hitstorm in the UK. What a tragedy and what a disaster this is! I can only pray for the kin of the poor victim.
I feel bad a lot for the Asian community in the UK and a little bit for the law enforcement people.

It happens quite often in Israel, the guy blows himself as soon as hes spotted.

Yeah it was defn. a case of mistaken identity. I think any black or asian person who takes publib transport in the UK should think about wearing a t-shirt and not carry anything with them.
Its pretty amazing that cops would incapacitate, have them on the floor and then shoot them in the head at point blank range.

Hard to imagine why the bobbies are a bit jumpy. Eight attempted bombings in two weeks. Gee, what are they concerned about? Not like they don’t know that there is plenty of potential out there:

Execution style killing cannot be explained or justified. However, u hv to give credit to the British police and administration in owning up to the mistake and there was no effort to try and cover it up
Unfortunate events such as these will happen under the present environment of fear. Police had orders to kill on sight, ask yourself the same question: What if u were to make the decision of preventing another 7/7 bomb blasts? On the one hand we hv innocent civilians who under the british law are gauranteed security by the state while on the other side we hv a case of mistaken identity. Very difficult situation for the police.

Hey wats wit this haseeb hussain guy? Hes supposed to be one of the bombers from 7/7. This British guy of Paki origin appeared on ARY ONE claiming to be haseeb husaain along with his uncle and father and he admitted visiting Karachi on the date that the Scotland yard said that the bomber visited Karachi. And they kept showing his ID.

Credit to the British police? Which world are you living in? They killed an innocent Brazilian man, of course they had to admit they were wrong. If it was a Pakistani Muslim they would have admitted not such mistake, even if it was the wrong person.

Planet Earth. Read the full context of the posts. What they did was unacceptable, but the fact they accepted their mistake deserves due credit. How many Muslim head of states do u know wud hv or hv done the same?
