The witchhunt begins

Police Kill Man at London Subway Station
AP - 3 minutes ago
LONDON - Plainclothes police chased a man in a thick coat through a subway station, wrestled him to the floor of a train car and shot him to death in front of stunned commuters Friday. Police said the shooting was “directly linked” to the investigations of the bomb attacks on London’s transit system.

You must be living in 1692 in Salem MA.

Re: The witchhunt begins

Sorry buddy, a suspect in a subway bombing is wearing a thick coat decides to run from the police in a subway station? I would have dropped one in his head, now dropping 5 is just messy and overkill.

Re: The witchhunt begins

The more you talk, the more your mentality shows. First the title is not be taken exactly but taken figuratively. Your english must be slipping.

Secondly what makes you any better than the terrorists if you think like that.

Re: The witchhunt begins

Lets not get carried away.

This cud hv been a case of mistaken identity, a very scared commuter running away from plain clothes policemen thinking they were white superamists targetting him for his skin colour. OR, he was a potential terrorists. We dont know yet. What we do know is this guy was shot and killed by the security agencies, whether it was a case of panic stricken officials lashing out or a valiant save will require time and more information.

Re: The witchhunt begins

Well Duh… They are trying to blow up civilians in public transportation and I appalud measures to stop them. Anyone with a pack of explosives on his back heading for the bus stop is fair game in my book.

If you think any differently, then I suggest therapy.

Re: The witchhunt begins

Hmm... I'm not too sure about this one. I'd like to see some more reports on the circumstances behind the shooting. It would be dangerous if cops get shoot at sight orders in crowded places. Otherwise random Muslims/Arabs might get caught just for being in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Re: The witchhunt begins

Tsk Tsk . Couldnt think of a better answer. So if I am running behind you, not wearing a uniform but just plain clothes with a gun in my hand, and most people around you are running also, would you stop just because your skin color is brown and you are a muslim ? You would be stupid if you did.

And yes, stop the witches! Stop the witches! They are getting away!..lol…know what I mean?

Ever since 1692 some mentalities have not changed. Just like there was a bunch of red faces after the Salem witchhunt, there will be a couple of very red faces after the war on terrorism. History repeats itself.

I totally abhor terrorism. But to stop terrorism, one does not have to become a gun toting shootem-all policeman to the world. If the west stops opression of the east, terrorism will have no purpose and will cease to exist.

Re: The witchhunt begins

If he blew up after being shot he was a terrorist, if he just died well then he was innocent, yep a witch hunt alright.

Re: The witchhunt begins

It was stupid of him to jump over the barriers and run like he did. Its like a red rag to a bull. His stupidity cost him his ruddy life.

Re: The witchhunt begins

He was black/Indian looking and some nutters, maybe the BNP as far as he knew ( 8 plain clothes coppers) were chasing him brandishing hand guns. What's he gonna do, blow them a kiss and hug, or leg it?!

Re: The witchhunt begins

Good one.

Re: The witchhunt begins

If that actually happened, then maybe. The question is if they tried to stop and search him and he took off over the barriers, what then? The police have not yet revealed any details.

Re: The witchhunt begins

^ Does it matter if they tried to stop him and ask questions? Why did they fail to show their badges (identify themselves as police officers) and ask him to stop? If they did show their badges, then it is stupid to run from them.

Re: The witchhunt begins

^ what makes you think they failed to identify themselves?

Re: The witchhunt begins

That's the point, we dont know yet. I am assuming thats what they meant by challenging the cops and refusing to obey instructions. In which case, it is highly likely he would've known.

Re: The witchhunt begins

PD, why does they not publish the whole details? Just because someone is wearing "thick coat" does not give them the right to cap five in him...does it?

Re: The witchhunt begins

Flashing a badge aint done in the UK and doesn't really carry any significance. This aint Miami vice here you know. The BNP could have flashed their bronze swimming medals, the guy would still have run he was more interested in the hand guns being flashed.
