Re: The use of 'the'
...well I've always loved how asians add "The" to a name, especially when its added to refer to an elder person - it gives them so much more importance. ie., "THE grandfather". JUST adorable. But when "The" is added to a young idiot, its totally insulting which is just as good....the word "the" just adds so much emphasis on whatever/whoever you're discussing....yes its used oftentimes incorrectly and its over-used often. But its a good word to have around.
