OG, there is nothing wrong with people coming here. If any moron thinks that they are going to change US policy from within, they are retarded or at best utterly naive. I think CM should try, he is a smart guy. Unfortunately, exhuberance of youth and fact that he feels a bit frustrated (like a lot of guppies on this board) over the success of our policies and actions at some illperceived wrong to his people (who ever they are) makes him a bit combative and silly.

I wasn’t trying to attack. I just mentioned that he had a point. I tried to seperate myself from the personal animosity between the two. I agree for the most part with what you say, but I also believe OG has a point. He wasn’t tactful, yes, and he was blunt, yes, and there were better ways to say what he did, yes. I also agree that in the end it is CM’s choice, I even encouraged it.
CM - Thank you for the explaination and I agree there is a difference between taking a test and commenting on the actions taken in an occupied country. However, I believe there is a difference also in commenting on the actions and the policies of the government and cheering the deaths of people over there basically doing a job they didn’t ask for. I don’t agree with the current government’s view and policies and will frequently voice that opinion, most of the population will agree with you on that. But I have never at anytime said that anyone there should be killed or cheered it on, not a lot of people will support you there (if that was what you did, I realize sometimes things can be read out of context).
Regardless, good luck on the test, best of luck if that is what you want to do. Please don’t take anything written personally, everyone is entitled to an opinion.

OG, actually I dont find anything wrong with his statement. And with the new reports confirming how Bush administration had started preparing an attack on Iraq (with him being in the office 2 weeks)... it is becoming abundandly clear that this war had nothing to do with WMD...but to take revenge for his father and break up OPEC "alleged" cartel. Fortunately/Unfortunately Wolfowitz, Rumsfled failed in their designs and have been/will be pushed out door.

Actually years ago a guy with the nick "Braveheart" met CM and vouched for him. On the otherhand, if you fashion yourself a diplomat, you should know when to SFU. 'Cause people who write that the US will immorally kill anyone for oil will have a hard time convincing the US State department that he was just joshin'.

There is some loyalty implied there beyond that owed to the Ummah.
We are well aware of your stance on reciprocity where benefit or generosity of the U.S. is involved. You feel indebted to no one or thing except your own interests.
Bad enough.
But please remember this is a job of “Service” that should advance the interests of the United States Government-Not just the individual being paid by the citizens of the country.

Really, if African diplomats can live in luxury surely the Americans should be the cream of the cream. However, African politicians/diplomats are a breed of their own. But, if the pay isn’t good, I’m sure there are other benefits.

Not out of context at all. Do a search of all threads started by CM. Nearly all of them have an anti US bent… The above quote was Oct 9th 2002. As I mentioned before, the US State Department will research CMs public statements back to the birth canal. As a matter of fact, I have yet to find a single positive comment on the US whatsoever. Does an employer, any employer not have some expectation of loyalty?

UTD, the aim is to learn from history and not get arrogant. The main cause of any empires fall is their arrogance. The japanese felt they were better than the americans and thus attacked pearl harbor and did not expect a reaction, because americans were lazy. It is time you americans learnt that you aint our savoirs. Rather your govt is the cause of a great deal of the worlds problems.
