Well said! People forget that in Pakistan as well s in India many people built high walls for Purdah. They are judging the story on the perception of the West and not how it is seen on a local level.
Tribal Pathans make fortresses not houses, which is what the locals assumed this was. Is it so inconcievable that one of those Pathans would build a similar fortress in the Abatobad?
Those fortress houses are built by people of influence and money to throw about, so its not surprising that a Waziri Pakhtun would build this compound to fend off potential enemies.
