Calls something honest when it is NOTHING more than a pre-conceived opinion. We all know what opinions are like - and we all have one.
It might do some of you some good to at least listen to others' interpretations without condemning them to hell as non-Muslims. After all, where has your literalist, fundamentalist, self righteous, it's-been-that-way-for-a-thousand-years interpretations gotten you?

Because Muslims tell me Islam is the only religion dictated by God. We are all born Muslim. It is the perfect religion. It is the only way to have God's blessing and an afterlife that is devoid of hell fire. And because the interpretation by many Muslims directly affects my life, my country and world peace. Why shouldn't I be able to discuss it? I am very much part of the affair.

I am all for peace and my point here is it is not achievable with threads like this.
As for "60 Muslim nations around the world", what does that prove? There are 60 US religious bodies with at least 60 thousand members. There are 60 million American Catholics. Are these people any closer to God because of the magical number of 60?

I've visited PMU and MWU, and although it's all pro-Western and all, it's no less hateful towards traditionalists...vast majority of whom DO NOT affect you on any level. But I suppose neo-colonialists make everything going on elsewhere their busines...
So, traditional Muslims believe you're destined to hell. Cry me a river. If you think for a second that translates to violence, I think you're deluded. But then, delusion is the name of the game. No, it CAN'T be possible that Muslims actually have legit greivences...enough so that some may go nuts to the extent of lashing out violently.
No, apparently brutal violence is the sole right of Americans. Because when they kill, at least they kill for the "right" reasons. Because according to you if I (or these pro-regressive Mozlems) don't believe in your fundamentalist, cultural, literal translation I am going to hell. I think that qualifies as affecting my life. Or at least my afterlife.
Outside of that, the war on America declared by some with whacked-out views very much affects my life and the direction of my country and the world.
But I have not said that Muslims don't have legit gripes or that American foreign policy is fair. There are issues that should be addressed and I hate that the whacked out, fundamentalist president of my country is doing more harm than good. It sickens me.
But I get to debate fundamentlist, narrow minded Christians all the time. Unfortunately I live in a town filled with those hypocrites.

my feeling is that people’s image and udnerstanding of faith is hurt by idiots on both ends of the extreme. It would be wise for all of us (moiself included) to note how the uber-liberal and uber-mulla both bad for us.
