There are many things which i like and dislike about Musharaf
likes
Tolerance
specially in term of listening to others no matter how bad they are saying about him, no political leader in Pakistan have so much tolerance
Freedom to press
dispite of all pressure from govt loats he had allowed the press to talk freely , although all the lotas want that freedom should be taken back
decision Power
best quality of musharaf due to which he is going through till now is his strong decision power
dislikes
dependence on lotas like chaudries to run the govt
thinking what ever he is thinking is right
bringing lotas to govt to distroy Pakistan
the way he wants Pakistan to convert into american slave
run the govt which is semi dictatorship semi democaratic
bringing army and muhajir in every field without merit
killing own pakistani people on the will of america
8 selling people of pakistan to earn money to show progress of economy
so far i think that all bad things coming to him is only due to lotas around him
if he would have been runing pure dictatorship , he would have been in better position then now, all the lotas are distroying him as they have distroyed the leaders before him

He looks pathetic with all the scum around him, from Wasi Zafar to Altaf Hussain. What is even more pathetic about him is that not he does not enjoy the peoples confidence at all, not to mention hes not democratic

So if he decides to go back to the situation before Oct/Nov 2002 and imposes Emergency rule, getting rid of all lota politicians and ruling as supreme ruler you think that would be ok?

I agree that he has some really bad ppl around him, sheeda, wasi, chaudhries, and for a long time mullahs. i think before thee handcuffs were placed on him in 2002 he was doing much better
True, there was a time he had an awesome cabinet, nothing to do with the afore mentioned thugs. But they all left, alot of them on their own (Zakk posted some very good articles about them)... They left while the time was right, and sadly they were replaced by this sad lot that he has to rely on now.

Well i more or less agree with his foreign policy. I would like tp retain him as foreign minister.
I hope that don't include the part where he kiss bottom of israel.
I was impressed too when I first heard his view about jews.
But later on I found out showing good intention to israel is one of factor keeping mush in power.

He gave few billion rupees for development of Karachi (the most neglected mega city in decades)
Though for #2, he tried to assert some power early on, I still hear news about journalists (mostly writers) getting pressurised by "saada libaas" their families getting harassed, but overall press/media is heading in good direction.

6 Can't say if he is pushing "muhajirs" in every field without merit, but yes he is pushing army in every institution.

11 Letting corrupt elements go scott free i.e. NS, many of current "ministers" etc
12 Plundering of national real estate
13 Trying to ride two boats i.e. keeping Taliban happy as well as his feeding hand (USA)

Finally, the mahajir hate had to surface in this thread. No wonder, no one likes the punjabis and their likes in Pakistan.
Most here in the west would be happy they got out when they could. :)
I hate mushraf.
But I think musharaf's ties with army are million time stronger then his ties with Dehli-mates.
His love for MQM/altaf only Nazria Zaroorat.
