The term Hijabi and non-Hijabi

Re: The term Hijabi and non-Hijabi

the root of the problem.

if muslims cant respectfully call upon other muslims who are doing hijab, then why would you expect any other culture/religion to be respectful towards the idea of those who are at the very least even trying to do hijab regardless of if its perfectly done or not…

anyways, i dont hate the term hijabi/hijaban, but im not a big fan of it. i mean, does it really take too much breath away to say ‘she does hijab’ instead of saying ‘shes a hijabi’ or ‘shes a hijaban’..a short explanation is better than a label.

i think its wrong bc hijabi/hijaban should not become stigma’s..and the way they are being used in the west by muslims to describe fellow muslim girls who do hijab, that is exactly what its becoming, a mark, an affiliation…an affiliation of leaving the ones who do hijab or even try to do hijab at their best in a category which throws a list of rules for them to follow, and if they dont, then ‘fellow muslims’ are fast to bash them out for..even trying to do hijab if its not completely and wholly proper??? absolutely wrong.
