The thing that you totally love about your kid(s)

Older one (8 years old daughter): when she perceives her up coming comment as slightest of the criticism, she starts with 'dad, I dont want to hurt your feelings but …". I just adore her politeness,

Younger one (almost 5 now): when she does not want to sleep with me, she says that dad actually your face is too crunchy (referring to my late day facial hair) and it bothers me when you kiss me.

Please share yours.

Re: The thing that you totally love about your kid(s)

oh so many things but the thing I love most these days are the tight hugs and kisses that I get along with the barney 'I love you' song (well whataver he sings of it)
cannot have enough of these.

Re: The thing that you totally love about your kid(s)

My little one radiates heat. I love sleeping next to her in the winter time because it's like having my very own soft personal heater.

My older one is too smart for her own good. She uses exactly the same words in the same tone that are said to her.

Re: The thing that you totally love about your kid(s)

our little one gets hot too soon too early and kicks the comforter away and if I am sleeping next to her. she kicks my part of comforter away too. I usually yell at her for that :D

Re: The thing that you totally love about your kid(s)

i love that my eldest has encyclopedic abilities and i like showing it off in front of my inlaws, he knows all about dinosaurs, he can tell the name/brands and model of any car you show him and recently he has memorized the map of the world and animal atlas so you just name a country and he'd draw the map and tell you what animals inhibit that land, he amazes me and i love that.

middle one is just funny and youngest is just too cute.

Re: The thing that you totally love about your kid(s)

loud crying sound followed by a very sad *dahdah foneee

Re: The thing that you totally love about your kid(s)

It's funny you mention encyclopaedic abilities. I am like that. People ask about the most random places/things and I know them. I guess I like reading random literature or articles.

Re: The thing that you totally love about your kid(s)

guess you two are gifted kids. :D

Re: The thing that you totally love about your kid(s)

Except I'm 21 and he is half my age. How versed is he in history? At his age they must be learning about the Great War?

I love history my favourite subject.

Re: The thing that you totally love about your kid(s)

He'll be 7 in few months inshallah. He's not studying History as a subject yet but he has several story books. he loved his father's Atlases and Encyclopedias so I bought him few of those in children's version. Right now he's interested in trees and planets.

Re: The thing that you totally love about your kid(s)

1/3 of my age. Lol. mA.

Well keep him interested Im sure he might be lecturering about planets at university in no time. If that is what he wants..

Re: The thing that you totally love about your kid(s)

My newest kid (5 months old), I love the way he covers his lower lip with upper. Only if I could look as cute as he does while doing that.

Re: The thing that you totally love about your kid(s)

my son is 4 weeks old and I know that he doesn't do it consciously but he holds the collars of my shirt, he only seems to do it when I hold him.....my husband's a little jealous of it :)

Re: The thing that you totally love about your kid(s)

When my kids feel I'm tired, you'll see them bringing in the lotions and bandaids...lotion for massaging my feet and bandaids cuz mommy you're hurting!
