The Sufi Dance

Re: The Sufi Dance

If something, especially something related to someone's religious/spiritual beliefs, is beyond my comprehension, I'd rather keep my mouf shut than to make ignorantly stupid jokes about it. When it comes to a person's connection to his god, whatever makes him feel closer and gives him inner peace is good as long as it doesn't hurt anyone. And before someone mentions something ridiculous that might make a person feel closer to god, just use your own leftover sense to determine whether or not that could help a sane sensible person feel a connection to god.

Re: The Sufi Dance

Whoever links music and dance with sex, is right and wrong at the same time. Its the intention and the resultant beat or move which will certify to this or would not. However, swirling as was meant to Rumi has got nothing to do with it. It is just a way to tame the mind to come to a rhythm which connects to the world above. I say it with a caveat that not all of us are supposed to see through the things he used to see. Even Moses was unable to understand Khwaja Khizr's ways, if you recall?
