Re: Karachi k halaat
From few days constant firing in Sohrab Goth area, killings of Tehreekai Sunni followers , i think something is wrong there, i dont know why Altaf Hussain weeping like a lil child about Talibans taking over Karachi ,and saying all outcomers to register .Karachi ias a part of Pakistan, why the hell any Pakistani citizen to register if he comes from outside Karachi. Karachi is not MQM jageer, every citizen has a right to go there and live as in Lahore and other cities of Pakistan.
Re: Karachi k halaat
In the name of combating Talibanisation, MQM is targeting Pashtuns in Karachi and dozens have been killed.

Re: Karachi k halaat
this is a test of mqm. if it fails us now, there should be no way back for them
this is an opportunity for mqm to finally take another ethnicity on board but outright ghadari to civilwar type situation should mean the end of them
Saga of killings continued in Karachi. Both news items can be read in today's Dawn. I wonder if it is a reaction from India on Bombay's killings.
Eight killed in Karachi violence
KARACHI, Nov 29: Eight people were killed and around 100 others injured as ethnic tensions took a violent turn in several parts of Karachi on Saturday.
About 18 vehicles were set on fire, sources said.
The most troubled area was a road between Banaras Chowk and Orangi Town where at least three people were shot dead and scores of others injured.
An official of the Qatar Hospital in Orangi said that about 92 injured people and three bodies had been brought to the hospital.
City police chief Waseem Ahmed told Dawn that eight people were killed in the daylong violence. “Now the situation has improved as we have deployed additional personnel across the city to avoid any further violence,” he said.
Imran criticises MQM's campaign against Pakhtuns
QUETTA: Imran Khan, the chief of Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaf (PTI) has said that the MQM leadership's hue and cry on Talibanisation in Karachi was aimed to purchase weapons to arm its members and sympathisers to expel the people of other provinces from the metropolis to retain their domination in Sindh's provincial capital.
Speaking at a press conference and addressing the Balochistan bar association respectively on Saturday he strongly demanded that the Muttihada Qaumi Movement leader Altaf Hussain should be extradited from London to be tried in Karachi in the murder cases for killing of innocent people.
He said the MQM propaganda regarding Karachi's Talibanisation was to create problems for outsiders particularly Pakhtuns who came in the city for jobs.
Re: Karachi k halaat
RAW is behind it...just my guess...
Re: Karachi k halaat
^^ security agencies reported the same to governmnet.

this is really unfortunate two days back i came to know a pathans chai ka hotel was closed just a block away where i have my establishment.
i wonder how he would have felt, some As* coming and asking you to close your business and go away...
this is going too far and i think if not controlled would go out of hand for MQM as well, although casualty would be ordinary citizens but MQM would be a major casualty as well.
Re: Karachi k halaat
I used to be a die hard supporter of MQM
but that was wayyyyy back in the mid to late 80’s - when they were in the early stages of forming the APMSO and we used to support them all out at the University ( Well it was partly an Anti-Jamiat than pro-APMSO kind of thing
) :halo:
Then I just quit as soon the true picture started to emerge…
This was NOT a peace loving, EDUCATED leadership as we thought. It was just a start of a local mafia, who wanted to loot and terrorize the very people who voted for them and elected them. Now looks like the monster that was created back then, is fully matured and out of control.
Sad
Re: Karachi k halaat
There is no let up in violence so far. The toll is 40 now. Innocent people from both sides are beling slaughtered. During the 80s imposition of curfew used to be the solution. But that coward she-male in London and his representative at the Governor House wont let this happen. But what PPP is doing? Are they party to it?
Re: Karachi k halaat
PPP and MQM are in this together. They are both heavily armed criminal mafia gangs, who have lot of leverage in khi....and in the past, they always fought each other. now this time, they decided to come together, and share the loot. MQM has its own areas, and PPP has its own. MQM is famous for bhatta khoree, and PPP is famous for backing criminal gangs from interior sindh who specialize in kidnap for ransom.
and they are dancing to tunes of RAW from india...altaf hussain is famously known for saying creation of pakistan was mistake....and zardari just declared that pakistan has nothing to fear from india. these 2, together, if left unchecked, will leave karachi for dead in a matter of years.
the current violence is carefully orchestrate by mqm...all the firing etc is occuring mostly in pathan areas.
Re: Karachi k halaat
^^ People of Karachi are paying for what they have voted for,
Having MQM in the govt, new examples of barbaricism will be set.

Re: Karachi k halaat
MQM terrorists are at it again, and what wonderful timing they chose this time! I guess they are re-establishing their Indian links.
Karachi will never prosper as long as the MQM goons are around.
It looks like India is set to use their pawns to bring misery to Karachi yet again
Re: The situation in Karachi
Just wait till sa1eem tells you how important it is for Pakistan to eliminate pakhtuns looking people from karachi
Re: The situation in Karachi
Guyz, its going both ways.. As I'd been calling my circle in karachi to know the latest situation, i've been told that both Pathans and MQM are trying to do the damage wherever they get a chance.
Pathans are not letting any non-pathan come around Sohrab Goth. If they see any one wearing "Pants" they force them to remove it , then either shoot them or cut their ears , noses (so cruel and disgusting)
In MQM areas, the MQM workers are not letting any pathan have any shop or cart as they do for their daily income. If someone resists, they shoot him..
That all resuted in heavy casualities with business loss while educational institutions are shutdown.
How pathetic it is that the country is going through THE MOST severe conditions from all sides, and we have a racial riots going on in the largest city!! GOD help us!
