As the title suggests, what are the simple things in life that make you happy?
Here are some of mine:-
-Hearing the call to prayer.
-Getting in a bed with freshly washed bed sheets.
-Finishing work and finding a text message on your phone from a loved one just to say ‘hello’.
-Waking up and looking at your clock only to find you still have another hour in bed!
-Feeling really thirsty and being able to walk straight to the sink and have a glass full of clean water (thank you allah).
-Randomly bumping in to a friend while your out and stopping for a quick chat.
-Seeing elderly couples holding hands.
-Standing in a queue and the baby sat in the pram in front of giggles at you for your attention.
-Being sat inside in front of the fire while its pouring with rain outside.
-Stepping on a crunchy leaf in autumn.
-Good home made food cooked by my mum.
-Duvet days.
A good book, a hot cup of tea, and a warm, fuzzy cat curled up at my feet as I read.
Fuzzy sweaters during autumn.
Lemonade in the summers.
Talking about everything and nothing at all with hubby.
Laughing about dumb things with my friends.
Oh, and Yusuf Islam's version of the call to prayers. Gives me goosebumps.

Re: The simple things in life that make you happy
At one point - when AOL had been invented and I signed up - I LOVED the “you’ve got mail” notification! I use to get genuine friend mail!!! Yep those were the days
Nothing compares to it anymore.
(Now I get spam/junk. I wouldn’t want to hear it for that).

Re: The simple things in life that make you happy
My parents picking me up from work (when they are out shopping and just happen to be in the area).
A toasted salmon and cream cheese ciabatta on a cold day
Seeing the snowstorm outside my window and knowing I don't have to go to work.
Chatting with my sisters for hours and laughing until my lungs hurt my fav one
Seeing classmates I hated on Facebook and smiling when I see how fat they've become (cruel I know but I didn't have any friendly classmates).
Translating the Quran and stepping back in amazement at it's sheer brilliance and perfection.
Looking at old family photos or wedding movies.
Having a blueberry muffin
Seeing a white women in a Hijab
Having hour long conversations with my fiance about politics, wedding, relatives and politics again. lol
Eating hummus with warm, freshly baked Tesco or Asda bread
Getting ready for a cousin's wedding
Saying "Alhumdulilah" each time I wake up in the morning.
