Nahee. One year they are named after boys the next yr after girls. Remember Hurricane Dennis and Hurricane Hugo. I was one of the victims in both hurricanes.

That's a good question and needs further discussion. They alternate names between male and female for all the natural disasters. For some reason, the male ones pass away without causing much damage but the females cause havoc. Got question?

Hurricane daisy will be a polite one that puts doors back on their hinges after wrenching them off carrying through the air for a couple of miles and bringing it back.

My question is why are the names almost always white christian? How about hurricane "shaniqua" or "Tyrone". Or, why not desi, like hurricane "habib" or "deepa"

rule of thumb:- anything above category 4 "toofan" is named female for obvious reasons.
