Re: The scariest movie/s you have watched...
Why not?
Nothing is really scary these days, though when I was a kid movies like poltergeist, IT and Blair witch project etc had me scared for a few hours :(
Re: The scariest movie/s you have watched...
Not sure about scariest but the most disturbing to me were The Human Centipede films.. Texas Chainsaw Massacre, High Tension/Switchblade Romance and A Serbian Film were pretty sick as well..
I don't really find exorcism or paranormal stuff scary..
You saw that too? :D
Wow, thought I was the only one who’s seen IT ![]()
The original Exorcist was scary, but I find The Omen which was released may e a year after The Exorcist to be more creepy.
I had high hopes for The Conjuring as so many said it was scary, but I thought it was okay. Not such a big deal.
The first Paranormal was scarier than the subsequent ones. If my spouse went down to the basement in the middle of the night and starts screaming I will not rescue him…I will leap from the nearest window and get the hell outa there. Seriously who doesn’t turn on the lights at that unearthly hour?
[/quote]
You’re just gonna let your husband scream for help and not grab some weapons to rescue him? That’s not very supportive of yous. At least you can go turn on the light, throw him some weapons and then leg it.
raises hand ![]()
Bore fest, haven’t even bothered to finish it.
Actually finished watching the conjuring, I'd say it was more a action film than scary.
Re: The scariest movie/s you have watched…
Is it disturbing that I wasn’t kidding in the least? No, seriously…when I watched the scene where the husband leaves the bedroom and goes thumping down the stairs to tackle the demon in the dark…my first thought was “What idiot doesn’t turn on the lights? If there’s a window in the bedroom, I will fling myself out but I ain’t goin’ down them stairs.
”
I just realized something, Sentry.
The wife in the movie was a much better woman than me, for neither did flee nor did she rush to lock the bedroom door. She left it open and that’s why she got to see her husband…one last time…as he was catapulted like a cannon ball into the room. Had it been me, I’d have closed the door ages ago and then he’d go slamming headlong into the door.
But s’all good…cuz I’ll marry a chivalrous man who would want me to save myself. Even if he never says so, I’ll just KNOW in the very depths of my soul that’s what he would want. ![]()
Re: The scariest movie/s you have watched…
They were better back then, weren’t they? Add to the list Chucky and Pet Cemetery and The Evil Heart. You remember the Indiana Jones series…the Temple of Doom one? The scene where Amrish Puri rips out someone’s heart as part of a human sacrifice had me scared for ages. It’s the only thing I remember from the movie; don’t even recall the storyline. But I still won’t watch it.
Re: The scariest movie/s you have watched...
^ :D
Re: The scariest movie/s you have watched…
Lmao. It’s true though, a normal person would have turned on the lights first. Paranormal activity had it’s moments but most the stuff that happened in that film isn’t what a reasonable sound minded person would do. I’m sure most girls wouldn’t have stayed in a haunted house as long as she did and would have leap outta the window a very long time ago.
Re: The scariest movie/s you have watched…
Oh snap, chucky (wasn’t scary but was pretty amusing lol). Have you seen the holloween pranks with chucky on YT? Haha, really funny. Yeah I remember that part, nothing scary about it lol, it was a very weird scene though. I think most indiana jones movies are boring (even though I have seen them 100s of times).
Re: The scariest movie/s you have watched...
