Re: The Royal Wedding
It was SO blah. It lacked the atmosphere that was so visible at charles and Di's wedding... It lacked in everything
The only thing that looked good were the tiny bridesmaids..thats it
Kate was blah, her outfit was a huge let down and will... Dear will.. I dont think he was even at the wedding mentally.
Re: The Royal Wedding
How it is being felt for becoming part of a family which have a Royal Lineage for over a 1000 years? I must say this is a fairy tale wedding.

Re: The Royal Wedding
As with Royals putting something back, the London's economy is getting a serious boost because of the wedding.
There will be a productivity loss of GBP 5 billion (CBI figures) and the extra cost of security and what not will be footed by the taxpayer. The wedding may bring in a long term windfall of about at most GBP 1 billion.
Enjoy your serious boost!
Re: The Royal Wedding
I thought it was lovely.
Re: The Royal Wedding

Re: The Royal Wedding
The friends and family from the 80s also tell me that that it was very common to say/hear no we don't give a damn about Royal wedding of Diana and Charles, but when the day arrived...no one could miss a glimpse and did that wedding went on to become one of the most watched event of the century? So yes...you will witness this event in one way or another. In UK we have holiday, so lets not pretend that we'll be hiding under our beds and locking the TV rooms.
Well, I slept through the whole thing. Literally. Then again I am in a different time zone. I know a radio station here was supposed have some coverage at about 5 AM local time, but at that time, I just got up for Fajr, prayed and went back to sleep shortly after.
I don't think anyone here said they would avoid getting any glimpse of it at anytime. At least for me I simply meant that I will not be going out of my way to watch it.
Re: The Royal Wedding
I turned the tv on and wondered why so many people were gallivanting about in London town. Was it a demonstration against the collective general ****tyness of international governments? Was there a Justin Bieber concert going on? Or an odd Union Jack themed charity walkathon? Nope. It was a real d’oh moment when I realized it was the ruddy royal wedding. Twits & tourists; go back home ![]()
Pointless trivia; Hitler also got married on this date.
