Re: The Royal Wedding
Waste of time, I don't really care nor does the normal public who cannot in anyway relate to the spoiled royals who their lives off our taxes
Re: The Royal Wedding
Let people say their usual 'no's (as if it makes them look good or something) but yes this wedding is going to become one the most watched and documented event of the century. Why not watch something celebratory while we get a chance, we see so much terrible stuff and all sorts of political crap on news channels every minute. Its always nice to witness history. Its a long event, and literally everyone without a doubt will catch glimpse or two. So yes, I'll watch a part or two of the wedding.
LMAO...
I dont think it's as important as it's made out to be... I will probably see the images and videos on the internet but I wont be watching it live becuase I will be at work and frankly I dont think it will make much of a difference to the World. As for good news it would be good news if the Royals put something back into the nation or did something for people instead of just being a stupid burden all the time since the late 40s.
Re: The Royal Wedding
maybeeeeee. who knows, i'll see pix for sure :D

If they were indeed 'stupid burden' and nothing else, then they would've been finished long ago (we live in a democracy remember!). They indeed bring something to the table, you have to be an extremely bitter and ignorant person to refuse that. And last time I checked, this wedding was not supposed to help the world, I don't know why would even think like that? As with Royals putting something back, the London's economy is getting a serious boost because of the wedding.

You sure you are in position to speak for the 'normal' public, because London is buzzing since last two days?
Re: The Royal Wedding
LOL chill out Jolie, just like you're in no position to speak for those who said 'no, we won't watch the Royal Wedding' and then telling us we're saying it to seem cool...uhhh ok.
Re: The Royal Wedding
In this day and age in western societies, any wedding is a sign of positive morality.
That so much attention is focused on this wedding is a good sign, as it reinforces marriage as being what people should aspire to, rather than living in sin together,

Jee I am. For a country of 70 odd million the ''buzzing'' by a a few thousand doesn't matter or even thousands.
The normal public, the students, the lawyers, the doctors, the people who I interact with everyday, the white people I know, the black people I know, noone gives a crap :)
Aap ko itna shok toh jaa key patakay bajain, kis ne roka hai, our opinion in this thread was asked, we gave it, why act all offended?

The friends and family from the 80s also tell me that that it was very common to say/hear no we don't give a damn about Royal wedding of Diana and Charles, but when the day arrived...no one could miss a glimpse and did that wedding went on to become one of the most watched event of the century? So yes...you will witness this event in one way or another. In UK we have holiday, so lets not pretend that we'll be hiding under our beds and locking the TV rooms.

I guess I am in a similar position to you as well. Just like you the general public I interact with everyday are actually quite relaxed and positive about this wedding. :)
A wedding is always a good thing...let alone Royal wedding which will have thousands of people on the streets with Union Jacks. I'm fine but I just don't understand why people are so offended by this wedding? They need to chill and be thankful that we atleast got a day off with BBC not broadcasting Clegg or Cameron speech.

yes yes, issi liay kaha hai na...if i am present and the news channel is on, i'll watch it. i'm just not too fussed about it. i think there is much much more to brit culture and traditions than the royal family.
Re: The Royal Wedding
I'll be watching it..just for Princess Diana!

Which other aspect of British culture is as celebratory on a national and international scale other than the Royal wedding?
It is what it is....
