The rise of the ‘Allah Hafizites’....

ISLAMABAD, nobody's denying Arabic's unlimited beauty. It just gets to me personally to see you dog other languages.

I agree with you on everything you've stated about Arabic. I never said Arabic was bad, if you think so, go back and read again please.

Arabic is THE MOST BEAUTIFUL language on earth, I mean, come on now, are the many ancient mosques around the world not proof enough? Has one not seen the many beautifully written verses of the Qur'an on the walls of these mosques in the beautiful Arabic calligraphy? If any one is denying Arabic's beauty, that's their problem.

All I'm saying is that you shouldn't say that people who use a word that is in THEIR native tongue and to them, it IS EQUIVALENT to the Arabic word, "Allah," are wrong-because they ARE NOT wrong.

No one is denying that the word Allah is the most supreme word for God, but to say that we shouldn't use his other names in the many other languages of the world is just downright wrong.

And when you do say that, you are basically saying that a language that Allah created [whatever it may be, be it Pashto, Farsi, English, Afrikaans, etc.] is of no value when to me [and the native speakers of these languages] each and every language on earth is special and beautiful.

The way you love Urdu, a person from the Argentina loves their language just as much, and saying to them that the word God in their language is not right and to tell them and discourage them from using it is no right AT ALL...

Farsi word khuda and English word God is acceptable in cases we are preaching and making our point clear. In our own countries, where everyone is Muslim, why do we need to take support of any inaccurate word? I mean, its just so simple. Its no big deal but what stops us from saying the exact right word - ALLAH? Besides every word which is accurate and in Arabic and from Quran has blessings , sawab for us. Why do you want to miss it?

Bro, all I am saying is that niyah goes beyond these words...these words are nothing when you compare it to the imaan. I mean how many Muslims who say Allah hafiz and then commit shirk. I personally don't care for such titles. I have said Khuda Hafiz, Allah Hafiz, Ma'Salaama, Fe Aman Allah, Khuda Da Mal Sha, Rab Rakha to G-d bless you to people. If it bothers you that much then to you, I will always say Allah Hafiz, Khush now? :)

Exactly :k: The Almighty knows that we honor him and only him in every word.

ISLAMABAD,
What "party" are you talkin' about man? I think you're entering into the Twilight Zone now man...take it easy.

Just walk AWAY from that music..."te-de te-de te-de te-de TUN TAAAAN..."

Ya akhi, i have no problem with anyone saying khuda, or god or whatever. Its just that why don’t we move towards perfection. We made efforts day and night to learn English. We care so much the we speak it, its accent and all the slangs etc. Do we ever pay attention to something so important called Arabic? I personally feel we don’t. You are right that even if we say Allah hafiz many may still commit shirk. But that is because of lack of hidayah, but atleast saying the right word for our Creator is something good. I am sure we would gain a lot more in terms of understanding Quran and Sunnah directly if we move towards Arabic. Maybe for this we have to clear our hearts of all the biases and the image some Arabs have given to Islam. Just imagine the direct contact and the beauty of understanding the Revelation in the original language.:flower1:

True! Seriously, if anyone means otherwise when they say “KhodaHafiz,” or any other thing in their language, that’s them.

To say that it’s wrong not knowing a person’s intentions of the use of that word is like saying that Allah S.W.T. is [Astaghfirullah Na’uzobillah] unaware of the person’s intentions…Tawba…

For me, I don’t even think about it when I say it in my language. It’s not even a thing to “put my Niyat” in there, you know? I don’t go every time I say it “Allah, by Khoda I meant You,” 'cuz it’s JUST GIVEN…

Im also quite defiant in maintaining Khuda Hafiz, because to me theres nothing wrong with it and it means the same thing. Even my parents started saying Allah Hafiz, but then I continued to say Khuda Hafiz, so within the immediate family we still use Khuda Hafiz, thank goodness.

use Allah Hafiz with friends (who were the people who introduced me to this phrase) and Khuda Hafiz for family....
i dont see any difference in them, but dont understand why those who use Allah Hafiz must be so harshly criticized....
Allah Hafiz is still better than Khuda Hafiz in a way....

allah is khuda 'n' khuda is allah, where does the problem lie?????????????????

Guys have a soft heart...look at it this way, nobody is forcing that on you. It will not make you less of a human being and it will not make the other one greater. Being a muslim, I think its a blessing to say our creators name as it appears in the Quran, be it ALLAH haffiz, In-sha ALLAH, ma'sha ALLAH or Fi Iman ALLAH.

Allah Hafiz is easier on the tongue, culture is forever changing it always has been, what’s the big deal?

Why do you people even notice such things? Are you sad or summat?

Get a life and start getting out more. :p

'Rab dey Hawaley' is what we say in my family.

Allah, Rab, and Khuda, all three are probably laughing at this debate. I think they have bigger worries than how we say our goodbyes. Ram Ram.

yeah keep on differentiating...the Allah Hafizites and the Khuda Hafizites.

Either the person who wrote the article is a total vaila nikama...or its just an effort to do...god knows what!!!

We desis...are so much worried abt such petty things...damm. This article just pissed me off...

As if everything else they doin with their life....is so Islamic, and according to the Sunnah.

I dont see the problem in saying ‘khoda hafiz’ , iv’e been saying it all my life, and to me it means ‘allah hafiz’, same thing..
no big deal..
yeah in farsi khoda means god. But your only saying khoda to Allah than it’s ok. But if a parsi says khodafez than they might mean their god.

:hoonh:

And by the way, I totally disagree with changing our own words to Arabic words. Unlike some of you, I'm not an Arab worshipper, we've got our own culture and language to be proud of, instead of changing our way of life and the way we do things just to be like them [not taking anything away from them, Arabic is a beautiful language, but I gotta say, I'm just even more proud of my own language and culture].

This needs to be said again and again. There are even Pakisatnis who want to dump Urdu for Arabic.

First save your own language and then tell us.

excellent article :k:

with my recent visit to pak, i was confused as to why all my cousins had started to say Allah Hafiz instead of Khuda Hafiz..

Glory be to Allah who guided us towards what is right. If changing the words makes us receive more ajar / sawab than may such changes come every second. Its not a matter of Arab worshipping. Its way beyond petty nationalism which people like you are full of. If changing our way of life to what was original and pure like that of the Prophet :saw: than I long for that change. Pride is what brought nations down ! In fact I view pride as the first stage of close mindedness.
