The ridiculous interpretations of mullahs and mullah-minded

Re: The ridiculous interpretations of mullahs and mullah-minded

When "mullah" call it a wrath of God, it appears as they are claiming to be "holier than thou" thats why those who are victims are made to appear the sinful people and those who didn't suffer were 'pure/pious' people which may necessarily be not true. It is definitely from Allah swt, no doubt about that, but are we able to call it "wrath"? Do we really know it? Only Allah swt knows it.

The answer to yesterday, came today!

Re: The ridiculous interpretations of mullahs and mullah-minded

hello mullah of gupshup.

Re: The ridiculous interpretations of mullahs and mullah-minded

Right on the money.

Re: The ridiculous interpretations of mullahs and mullah-minded

You know, this topic has come up frequently in various threads, and also in the digichat, since recently in a short time span there have been so many natural disasters...(big ones at that too).

I just wanted to share something that the Imam at our mosque shared with us today. According to him, these events are SIGNS from God. Its not necessarily a punishment, because for some people, this can be a release (for the victims, I mean). He was saying, regardless of why it happened and what the Divine Reasons were, what we should do is take it as a sign and reminder from God that Death is always near...that Death has no reason, and it doesn't come to us after it sends some invitation. It comes when it comes, and we should live every minute of our live keeping in mind that Death might come to us any moment. We should use incidents like these at motivation - and ask ourselves are we being Good and are we being righteous, and what can we do to improve ourselves. And ask Dua for those people who have passed away.

I thought his point was really good. We can sit here and argue that it was Punishment or it wasn't, etc etc. Regardless, and I keep saying this, is that we just don't know...and as I realized from our Imam today...it doesn't matter either. You just have to keep these incidents in mind.

Yeah a whole bunch of school girls died when their schools collapsed, and we ask Why????

And indeed, its normal. But why not, instead of arguing over it, try to make it a lesson that we spend as much time with our families and our children, etc as we can? You never know...tomorrow, your daughter's school might collapse, and she might be caught in the mess.

shrugs

Just try to appreciate life, and your chance to live it. And maybe even try to live it.

Re: The ridiculous interpretations of mullahs and mullah-minded

Agreed completely. I won’t say just Mullahs, but all who are carrying this view should get up and help the needy. At least pray instead of demoralizing statements.

Re: The ridiculous interpretations of mullahs and mullah-minded

What bothers me about such comments is the level of self-righteousness and cruelty that it takes to look at the suffering and loss of others and think, well they were sinners, they deserved it.

We have no way of knowing who deserves what sort of punishment or where others' souls will end up. As PCG said, we should look at this calamities as a way to understand that this life is temporary, and we should make the most of it, without taking things for granted.

This is not the time to judge, but rather the time to offer care, and to realize that none of us is beyond or above suffering and loss.

Re: The ridiculous interpretations of mullahs and mullah-minded

It did come from God and he did have a purpose. Lets leave it at that. A few minutes of prayers for those who are still trapped, alive, waiting for help to arrive, and praying for those who are dead and for their familes who have lost their loved ones, will help. Can we please do that instead of arguing over what His purpose is?

Re: The ridiculous interpretations of mullahs and mullah-minded

Any calamity hits people wonder why?
Muslims mostly have two options
1) Wrath
2) Test

Anyone here who can claim innocence? Who doesn’t deserve wrath? All MULLAHS are saying is beg forgiveness. (Even the ones who were tested did that when being tested.) Sure you can give them a black eye for saying what they think is the way to deal with it. You can also argue why are you telling it to me? Or have you begged yourself? They would be crooks if they said give us this and that and we ensure forgiveness. Go do namaz and salat what does a mullah gets out of it?

Re: The ridiculous interpretations of mullahs and mullah-minded

everyone is asking others to pray for these victims? ask for God's mercy. i wonder why should we ask when God has nothing to do with this so called natural-disaster. i just wonder why are they bringing God in all this. if mullahs are lunatic and idiots for saying this is God's wrath then whose asking for God's mercy are equally as lunatic and idiots. God didn't kill anyone nor will show mercy to anyone.

Re: The ridiculous interpretations of mullahs and mullah-minded

Who cares? You think those people starving on an open field while their baby girls are dead under a collapsed schoolroof are sitting there contemplating these philosophical questions?

No, they need supplies, food, and help to get people out of the rubble and collapsed buildings.

So, you can sit here and contemplate all you want, but your time would be better spent donating supplies and money, and motivating people in your community to send stuff (muslims and nonmuslims). Who says that only Pakistanis can donate?

Maybe do some community outreach in each of your communities, or some community fundraisers?

The earthquake as Allah's mercy

The imam at the mosque I went to last night offered a different spin to many on the earthquake - he said that it was a sign of God's mercy upon so many thousands of Muslims that he took them back to him whilst they were fasting in Ramadan and thus assured of Paradise.

The began they fast in one world and will inshallah have ended it in a better place.

Re: The earthquake as Allah's mercy

^ How beautiful... why were so many roza doing muslims spared.. what did they do wrong.
