Butt, Asif eligible to return to international cricket in September: ICC - Sport - DAWN.COM
Wow so even Asif and Butt can play international cricket from Sept 02
Re: The return of the Jawaris
Not sure about Asif and Butt (both showed no remorse or repentance) but Amir deserves a second chance after serving his ban
Re: The return of the Jawaris
No one can be like AsifDon
Whattay bowler
Re: The return of the Jawaris
Irfan does not have the fitness to last 5 days of a test
Junaid is presently struggling for penetration in tests
Rahat Ali is not a bad third seamer
Imran Khan (Jr) is an okish bowler
Asif 32 is a swing bowler, does not only rely on pace, so he could possibly play for another 4 or 5 years subject to no more shenanigans and staying fit. Amir 23 is still very young.
So we could possibly see Amir and **Asif **opening the bowling for Pakistan (vs NZ) in tests as early as Jan 2016!! ... which would be an amazing turn around for both of them
These two along with Wahab and Yasir will form a formidable attack in tests on any surface.

Re: The return of the Jawaris
as a matter of principle, i believe Pakistan shouldn't let these three players ever play for the country.
Re: The return of the Jawaris
Considering these players were around 19 to 27 when they committed these offenses, I see no issue in bringing them back. None at all.
Even if couple of them have not expressed remorse, it doesn't matter. They have served their time.
Only those who have NEVER done any wrong have the credibility to ask for a permanent ban.
Re: The return of the Jawaris
Asif don is back. Lets hope he focus on cricekt only . I beleive he coulad have been another mcgrath.
I dont think butt will be required any more...
Re: The return of the Jawaris
I am happy to hear this news. Asif desperately need in team we don't have any quickie who is able to bowled out other team. He should concentrate on cricket only.

Aaap David Lloyd bannane ki koshish na karein!! Everyone (barring a murderer or terrorist) deserves a second chance in life and these guys have served their bans (however, I still have reservations about Butt and Asif returning as both showed little or no remorse. It is slightly easier to forgive Amir).
Are we perfect?

Re: The return of the Jawaris
These three arent only guilty for bringing all sort of shame to Pakistan but also responsible for sharp decline in Pakistani cricket standard especially bowling getting so weak.
One should always remember that they didnt only commit the crime but also shamefully denied it for such a long time with all sorts of exclamation of how honest and patriot they are.
Amir was the first one to accept it and plead guilty. So yes he's the only one who can be give some margin. Plus he was close to juvenile. So that can be the only exception. It'll be a sad day for Cricket if Asif or butt returns to represent the country again.
Re: The return of the Jawaris
Unfortunately I can see all three returning at some point
Salman Butt's (30) main challenge is from Shehzad and Shan Masood. With Shehzad's up and down form, there is every chance Butt will return as an opener. It will be impossible to ignore him esp. if he does well in domestic cricket.
If Asif (32) can even bowl at 75% of his previous best, he is still better than anyone-else at the moment incl. Wahab
Amir (23) is very young and will be the first among them to be recalled to the national side
(ps. remember Misbah 41 and Younis 38 are still playing international cricket)

**Mirza ‘Naseehat’: **‘I would urge the youngsters to not make such mistakes’
Actually what Salman Butt wanted to say is “Sorry I got caught!”
Salman Butt thankful for second lifeline - The Express Tribune
There is a slight difference between remorse and repentance
Remorse is being sorry you got caught.
Repentance is being sorry enough to stop what you are doing and change your behavior.
Re: The return of the Jawaris
Why soft corners for Butt and Asif suddenly? It goes to show there is a game behind the scene, someone somewhere is satisfied with how much cricket (in Pakistan) and Pakistan suffered in between.

I want Asif to come back whadda bowler he was
