Is a thin streak of liquid liner okay when wearing red lipstick? I think a strong but natural eyes (1-2 coats of mascara, groomed, defined brows) would look great w/ red lips..

^^ yep thats exactly the kind of makeup i tried with it and it looked so good. defined groomed brows and a thin black eyeliner with red lip.

ruiner: i ended up getting a kohl eyeliner by MAC and i use that to line the inside of my eyes now. works pretty good and stays on all day…actually its hard to take off! as for the lipstick, its definitely more of a bright blue-red…not a warm red. when i took pics it came out looking like its a dark pink but in real it looks pretty red.

i will post pictures in my AD blog once i wear that shade and im all dressed up and pretty :hula:

Shweetz i went past a MAC counter and tried on Russian Red-its gorgeous! I didnt buy it tho cos i dont need a red lippy but its very nice indeed!

Another thing you might want to invest in SD is a cream stick liner for the lips by MAC ... the colour I have is Red Enriched. A very nice red to wear under any lipstick. If it is too drying, cause it's a lip liner, just put a dab of gloss on it.

I love MAC's cream stick liners. I got myself 3 different colours ... Red Enriched, Softwood and Cream O' Spice. The last two are more light colours to wear during the day or evening.

mehnaz: i did get a liner from them but its a regular pencil liner in a brick red shade. i'll check out these cream stick liner one day...and try the viva glam too. mac rocks.

if you are going for a shimmer look, try FRESH MOROCCAN by MAC, it's a nice red but has some beige shimmers in it as well. If you prefer matte lipstick (or just not too much sparkle) try DUBONNET , also by mac. it's a beautiful colour, and comes out great in pictures. It's not blood red, it's more of a....burgandy red i guess. It's really nice, I do bridal makeup and I use these colours a lot!

russian red is fab for that traffic stopping hot red look, looks fab with plain black liner, and no other eye makeup!!!

i love that red! it's used for either pick me up days or when i'm feeling all alpha female!!!
