Re: The Random Thread
arrrh but I think you are younger than me :( and you are not helping right now.
The thing is that I don't know where to start from? how many handis do you cook daily? I sometimes don't have time for that. I have never made a roti, I have cooked though but not on regular basis. My idea of desert is ice-cream, cakes not deis gajaar ka halwa....I don't even know how to make one. The bathroom cleaning? :((((
ofcourse i do aapsey zyadah cause i dont have a job but you do :)

ji haN...job can't be or mustn't be an excuse not to work house chores. if thats the case then why women come from work and go straight inro the kitchen? not fair...eh?**
Re: The Random Thread
^some jobs are tiring....not everyone at their work gets to sit all the time on computer :(
then how can you come home and do all these household chores?

Re: The Random Thread
^aww that's sweet but not every man like is that.........
And I was talking about women's preceptive especially who work full times and have a full family with kids and stuff. Don't you think it's unfair to ask them to start cooking full desi meal the mintue they get home after work, especially when their work is not always so easy?

Re: The Random Thread
okay I didn't get some of it....but you are right it's the desi culture. It's so funny some of my non-desi guy friends are so good with household chores, like better than girls. This guy, I knew from my intership actually would vacum at home.
But I am not necessarily talking about women in general. I am talking about working women, I think most of the housewives have pretty sweet deal of staying home all the time and still whininng about minute things.

true. one of my distant cousins is a doctor and her husband is an engineer. she makes three times more than what he makes but still she comes home tired at 6 pm and then worry about dinner...she has to freeze food for hubby when she goes outta town for conferences/seminars. well men honestly need a boot to get up and do something for themselves and tha family :) **
Re: The Random Thread
^that’s is exactly what I am talking about :hinna: It’s so hard for some working women, and that is precisely why some housewives should start counting their blessing and maybe shut their mouths once in a while about how much work they have to do at home.
Re: The Random Thread
I got kicked to number 6:emmy:

Re: The Random Thread
^let’s talk about…actually why don’t you choose a topic this time? I think I am done talking about housewives for now ![]()
**
sorry, i was away doing my ishaa prayer…lol…these topics are endless
like shaitaan kii aaNt ![]()
well, how about what if ur children don’t listen to u in the western countries where u can’t descipline in a corporal way or force them to do anything?
**
Re: The Random Thread
Ahh funny you brought this topic up cuz the other day I met this non-desi woman who had bunch of kids (at least 5, cann't remember) told me that she used to spank her kids with belts and now that they are all in their 30's successful, and they thank her almost daily for "that" kind of disciplining. So I think it's a misconception that westerns don't discipline their kids because they do.
what do you think?

i am NOT a fan of corporal punishments and i do NOT agree with that one bit. its illegal in Canada also. i dunno where u are at but i'm sure it wud be illegal. some strongly believe that beating a child will somehow turn them into successful adults is also a myth, i suppose.
oh yeah, whities are wife beaters, child abusers and pervs...they are no better breeds. sad no matter where it takes place. **
Re: The Random Thread
lol it’s illegal here too…
but think about that woman I am talking about is around 50, so when her kids were growing up, she didn’t have the option of putting them on ADHD meds…she did what she felt she had to. And according to her the kids turned out to be really successful, happy and loving. They still all come to their family reunions, one of them just bought her a new car, which I know is a materialistic view on this but still they cared enough about their mom to do that.
p.s. I don’t know about you but as a kid I was a little hyper and I am so glad that my mom didn’t know anything about ADHD, otherwise she would’ve definitely put me on something. ![]()
