The PPP selling out the country

All the major newspaers ran news about the misquote but as usual some people only love to hear and see what they like!! Even Foreign Office corrected it…

Associated Press Of Pakistan ( Pakistan’s Premier NEWS Agency ) - President Zardari misquoted in Wall Street Journal: FO

Uncalled for furore on Kashmir misquote | Pakistan | News | Newspaper | Daily | English | Online

Asif Zardari’s speech on Kashmir

what a load of crap, zardari isnt even properly representing his dead wife let alone four provinces. He is a crook and thats the only legacy he has inherited from PPP, atleast bhutto was evil genius this one is a stinking smelling pathetic waste of space.

These remarks speak the language of the poster of this thread! WhateverZardari does - he would be traeted with these inherent hatred..

Not a single person in Pakistan comes close to Zardari popularity and agreemnet on his leadership.. all four provinces are united in this.. only habitual cry babies weep against him :D

degas by all means if you feel he is the sort of man u want to represent your nation go for him but please do not say he was chosen by people or support your views by evidence.

That's a white lie and a ridiculous clame that Zardari represents all four provinces in Pakistan. Zardari represents fanatic Sindhi nationalists only that view the world with a sindhi-eye, such sindhi support anything that has a sindhi touch. They support Jiye Sindh Qaumi Mahaz and PPP at the same time.
PPP has majority in Sindhi province only, they are a minority in Panjab (with PML, N majority), NWFP (with ANP majority) and Balochistan (with PML, Q and nationalists majority).
In Karachi MQM has the majority. And in other words all major cities of Pakistan including Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Peshawar and Quetta have rejected PPP. PPP is alive only due to fanatic sindhis who have been driven by the narrow minded feudal mentality, or opportunist Panjabi politicians.
Nobody liked Zardari when Benazir was alive, people recalled him as a corrupt person, even Benazir didn't live with Zardari, she didn't like him because of his ways. Zardari was allegedly involved in the murder of Murtaza Bhutto as well because of him Benazir's government was taken over.

The way he and before him Benazir made Baluchi people to come in the national politics safter such masacre by Musharf is commendable.. Balauchis today feel much better than a year ago.. The way the whole parliament is being briefed by army haeds is also a great move forward..
[/quote]

There's no change in Balochi politics, Zardari has pleased only opportunists of Balochistan as the actual leaders of Balochistan are away from government at the moment.
The truth is that only fake people are in the government today who don't have actual representation in the country.
PPP is a corrupt party that has come to power under the auspices of Americans and guidance of ISI, people hated PPP, if they have earned some votes at least in Panjab that's because of sympathy of Benazir's murder.
In camera briefing is a drama as we all know from the media.

Can u suggest any other way that he should had been preseident of Pakistan? Presedential election was held not long ago with Nationbal assembly, all provincial assemblies and Senate votes to elect the preseident.. other candidadtes got very low votes and he won overwhelmingly!

can u name few actual leaders of Baluchistan ?

Sorry all I see is “if Musharraf did it, why can’t Zardari” :konfused:

That's true.

And yet the ANP decided that no man was better qualified to be Pakistan's President than Zardari (56 NWFP votes were cast for Zardari vs just 6 for other candidates)

And in Balochistan the PML-Q, Nationalists, and Islamists all also agreed that Zardari was the best possible President, gaining 59 votes with only 4 for other candidates.

In Sindh, despite the MQM presence, Zardari was once more chosen as the best man for the job.

Zardari proved his political support extended beyind just the PPP and that he could get the overwhelming majority of Parliament members to support him - hence he became president my a clear majority.

Which, far from being my ringing endorsement of him, is my case for why Pakistan has democrazy rather than democracy.

Re: The PPP selling out the country

^ Take out the NRO, dont rape the country's legal/judicial system and the democrazy becomes democracy again.

Re: The PPP selling out the country

^ So the parliamentarians have no brains that they can't see a person's "tainted pre-NRO past"?

So much for democrazy!!!

see thats the problem.. one only want to see what one likes.. out of context quoting was donme in this case.. read the posts again without a bias and u will see what he meant..

I was trying to find something in newspapers, "clarification" that Zardari didn't really say as quoted in papers.

Re: The PPP selling out the country

realdeal where feudals have lost their power?..please do tell me...and i hope army kicks the butt of this bayghairat party..first zulfiqar, then benazir and now zardari..a series of corrupt **

NOTE: Mind your language!
**

usually a democratic leader is chosen by people, he was not. this abnormal parliment is an embarrassment.

Another nonsence Indian perspective thread.

Clearly the President has started the trend of down playing "India Phobia" in the domestic & International Politics. This can mean two things,,,and many more things to come from now on whether Pakistanis Like it or not.

1 - Get on with the rebuilding process of Pakistan's democratic structure and build fresh image away from fundamentalism and radicals ( as we know all Pakistanis are not extremist or terrorists)

2 - Historicaly Pakistan has already spent most of its resources & time on matters that were made life & death situations over territorial disputes, while the others in the region prospered and grew stronger away from disputes.
( It is usually taken as a proud notion when Pakistanis are branded as an emotional lot who see no reasoning when problem requires immdeate resolution so the country stays or joins thye mainstream path to prosper n flourish as well.

Pakistanis and the Indians have to think outside the box for a change.

Zardari is only a President not a Parlimentarian who can influence legislation overnight. If he can then he must !

Prime Minister was chosen by teh people... In Pakistan (if u know) there is not presidential form of Govt like USA.. therefore President is chosen as the Pakistan;s constitution says!

Re: The PPP selling out the country

I can't believe some of you guys are defending the monkey known as Zardari.
The democracy and everything that happened was really good, until Mr POS SOB Zardari started showing his intentions. He's the one person that was not elected by anyone in Pakistan, but now he is running the country. What a damn shame for Pakistani's. How much more unlucky could the people of Pakistan get by having this SOB as the leader.

With Zardari this isn't a real democracy. Zardari is just a substitute of Musharaff and its really sad the way every member of PeePEEPee come out and supports Zardari.

Lies after lies from this SOB, Zardari. Judges, giving up the added President powers, standing up to the U.S. etc etc. Lies Lies Lies.
