The PPP selling out the country

we can see the perfect reasons why democracy is such a rare commodity in pakistan. we have no capacity of accepting a govt which is elected by the majority of popular vote, if its from opposite camp. hang, shot or whatever the elected leaders of country but what it will bring another military rule? that maybe what we want anyway

Re: The PPP selling out the country

Please define my camp. I would love to hear it. But what I would really love to hear is statements that actually prove what I said to be false or incorrect. These are facts which none of you address, just move repeat things that have no substantive value.

Zardari has sold out the country yet again. Just like his wife did.

Facts has been presented to you, but you conveniently dismiss them.

People don't have time to make 10 page replies to every statement.

Re: The PPP selling out the country

Point out one fact that has been presented in this thread that attempts to disprove my statements?

CM, I think if you read the actual statement in Wall state Journal statement, he really didnt call them terrorists. That was a different statement which was quoted wrong during translation.

Now Plz dont come on me, I hate Zardari just like majority of Pakistanis but a fact is simply a fact.

Re: The PPP selling out the country

Sid please point out where I am discussing the terrorist statement? I am referring to the statement made by our President regarding the official policy of the Government of Pakistan vis a vis Kashmir. Specifically how he has reversed 50 years of sacrifices to state the very same thing the Indian government states.

And where did he define "official policy of the Government of Pakistan"? Giving comments on Kashmir is one other thing, but where did he give the policy?

Re: The PPP selling out the country

sigh Any statement made by the Head of State/Government is considered the official policy of the Government. Has been the method for nearly 200 years now. Why do you think Wall Street went back up after President Bush made a statement? Because he is the bloody head of state and his words hold political value and set the policy of the government.

Re: The PPP selling out the country

Clearly by voting for the PPP, the people of Pakistan want the country to be sold out. Even if there was a snap election called again right now, I'm sure the PPP would win once more. The have the luxury of blind support.

Sit back and enjoy democrazy.

This from someone who has defended the MQM group, whose leader if on record as saying 'Pakistan is a mistake'.

If millions of people do something you may not agree with, do not make statements claiming they are all wrong, and want bad for the country they live in (which you don't)

Please stop cursing Democracy. Democracy doesnt come overnight by just doing one elections after 9 years of tyranny and dictatorship. People didnt give PPP on the name of Zardari, they gave them vote on the name of Benazir, especially after her death when its more of a sympathy than any other thing.

To some extent, its the mistake by people but if you go back to that time, it was clear that Makhdum Amin Fahim was the main leader and he would be the PM. Nobody thought that Zardari would made a "coup" on PPP leadership and be the "only one" decision power in the party and country.

The coup was done before the election when Zardari made it clear that he was taking over chairmanship of the party through the Bhutto "will" . It was clear to anyone who thought the consequences through that any PPP Prime Minister would owe his position solely to Zardari's sponsorship and that Zardari would thus effectively lead the country.

No, Pakistan received exactly what its people chose, and deserves the consequences, be they good or bad.

Of course, if Zardari somehow leads the country into a new golden age, I shall be left sheepishly eating my words.

Who was it that allowed Zardari to come back and take control of the PPP? Had Zard-ari not been allowed to take control of this party (as the law required to do so), he wouldnt be president. Please dont forget to send that person a thank you card for the NRO along with a bottle of scotch.

Nobody forced the Pakistani people to vote for the Zardari-led party at gunpoint. They willingly chose his leadership over any of the many, many, many other parties in the election.

And this govt is still 1000 times better than the last 9 years of tyrannical rule, no matter how much you supported it, and no matter how much the remnants speak against democracy/the people's will.

Re: The PPP selling out the country

Thus the PPP prefers jahils over educating the average man. If they can keep people uneducated and held to the feudal system they retain power.

You are living in the past.

Feudals do not have the control they used to.

In the last election, many top feudals ran under PML-Q, and lost by large margins to middle class opponents.

So? People voted for their MNAs and MPs. You cant expect this election to work like it should, if there is no law or the judiciary is trashed by an illegit dictator. Point is, if the senile dictator hadnt banked for his kursi, there would have been no Zardari in the PPP right now. You cant blame the people for a dictator's disregard for law and order.

Musharraf was less dirt than this Zardari is, he's a load of sh*t, Musharraf might be 70% slave, Zardari is sure to be 99% slave boy of the White Father, always ready to get fu***d as it gets him dollar, slut and beer.

U like or or not - Zardari is representing all four provinces in Pakistan - no other leader has following in all parts of Pakistan except him.. vast majority of Pakistanis agree to his vision and if few like u dont we dont care!

The way he and before him Benazir made Baluchi people to come in the national politics safter such masacre by Musharf is commendable.. Balauchis today feel much better than a year ago.. The way the whole parliament is being briefed by army haeds is also a great move forward.. presently, opposition leader has been appointed as Chaiman Accountabilty - as was promised under Charter of Democracy..

U have as ur old habit started cursing Benazir again whereas, she is remembered as a sign of federation not only by PPP but a alrge number of other parties too..
