The point of View

of a mod about blesphemy:

I remember GS had zero tolerance on blesphemy specially when it is about the prophet:saw:

Is it changed now?

Re: The point of View

how is blasphemy on gupshup defined again? is it only stuff against islam or does it work for other faiths too?

Re: The point of View

this is very bad indeed.

Re: The point of View

Can you please define blasphemy?

It's easy to point the finger at Danial, but it's another story to show just how narrow-minded and arrogant YOUR definition of blasphemy really is. Do you mean to define prophets as sacred? If that is the case, I can categorically define you as an idolater.

The generally accepted universal definition of Blasphemy is:
Speech, thought, or action manifesting contempt of God.
Looking back at the thread where you accuse Danial of incompetence, it's OBVIOUS nothing blasphemous was said. That is, unless you have made up your own definition of blasphemy to include ordinary men ordained by God to spread a religion.

Re: The point of View

calling Prophets of God - a peon is utter blesphemy - a garbage uttered by Munkireen-e-Hadeeth.

Re: The point of View

You’re more confused than I had thought. Creating a ruckus over a word you don’t even comprehend?

AQ, you really need to get off your high horse and read a dictionary. The prophets were God’s peons. Deal with it.

Re: The point of View

you are talking about blesphemy against God ... I am talking about blesphemy against Prophets...

your statements are nothing but attacks on prophets and highly competent mod declares that he won't edit such because they are not personal attacks but will warn me if I (presumably) attack him - the highly respectable mod....

Re: The point of View

sad.......hskhan that thread was about salman rushdie and you came with the idea of posting pictures of Prophet Muhammad.

Thread's name is "Salman Rushdie" and some people have started speaking about the Prophets, and top of it the mod isn't removing the off-topic posts.

Re: The point of View

^ hareem01 i didn't move the off topic posts because of this thread in feed back, i want people to be able to read the thread and get there facts right. ones done i will move the thread.

Re: The point of View

ok......I have no problem with your work, I think you're doing great job. But I think it is unfair with the religious people(of every faith) that they have a mod who has no religion(athiest) in the section of religious images and sometimes he cannot understand some terms or concepts. Please take no offence, its just an opinion.
And I found that quite strange that you warned us to not to speak about religion in the Religious Images section, I mean ofcourse we gonna speak about religion in the religious and political images section.

Re: The point of View

^ hareem, my personal beliefs are no ones business. and trust me i probably know more about islam then many so called muslims here. i just am not into following it blindly. before we get off topic the issue was derailing the thread nothing else.

Re: The point of View

You are right.......hskhan is the best example of those so-called muslims. Anyway, no one is forcing you to follow any religion.

Re: The point of View

^ don't need to name anyone hareem, hskhan has his own opinion and if it doesn't fit yours then it doesn't make him wrong, why don't you try to understand others opinions, who knows you might learn something.

Re: The point of View

what? You can only hear words like hskhan has said in that thread from a so-called muslim. What can I learn from hskhan? How to make fun of Prophets?

And you stop judging muslims by calling their faith "blind faith".

Re: The point of View

before we get into a debate, lets agree on one thing. this is an open forum and everyone is entitled to their opinions. If you do not like someones opinion then you may tell them so in a polite manner. we can not force our beliefs on anyone because that is not right as you wouldn't like someone doing the same to you.

Re: The point of View

Well, its not only about liking or disliking someone's opinion, in that same thread a hindu came with the slogan of Prophet marrying a 5 years old(without any proof)......and that thread was supposed to be about Salman Rushdie, but hskhan(i dont know why) came with his first off-topic post about posting a real picture of Prophet Muhammad(SAW). And you didn't remove their posts even for the sake of being off the track.

This might be an open forum but no one has the right to insult any religious personality.
That post was in the thread "Salman Rushdie" by hskhan.
Can someone please find me a picture of Muhammad? A real one. I dont want to risk posting a cartoon.

I have nothing else to say.

Re: The point of View

thanks.

Re: The point of View

Shah sahab HsKhan's statements *freedom of speech *ke hadd par kar gayee hain, yet he wasn't told to button It In that thread, before It was locked or after!

Re: The point of View

^ LUC he stated his opinion, do you know what people say about other religions on this forum. i'm all for respecting everyones religion but these guys who are yelling so loudly do the exact same thing to every thread, this is just the last straw.

Re: The point of View

I agree zero tolerance policy for all faiths but during my time on here I have noticed that Islam Is ridiculed a lot more.
