We booked our tickets in May, everytime we asked, they said 32 KG each bag. In july we left, and there was no problem whatsoever... Coming back in August, they gave us a hard time saying the rule has been changed for 6 months, they dont know how we were able to come with 32 kg.. my husband fought and argued with them that they were wrong and finally they relented, and let us pay 6000 Rs for the "extra weight" (which is better than what they were previously suggesting, to dump all the stuff and go buy a suitcase outside.. i don't kno how they can expect us to travel on 23 kg, it sucks!!
Exact same story. We went at the end of august and came back end of sept. and until we left from here it was apparently 35 or 32 i guess and my confirmed from PIA's office in lhr even, two days prior to leaving and they STILL told us its 32 (or 35, cant remember). but at the airport, apparently rules had changed, they were asking us to pay something like 13000Rs and the stuff was just not worth that much so we dropped it =(
