Say you are about to leave the home for something, right when you are about to lock the doors, the landline phone rings. Would you come back in and answer the call or ignore it?

Just discard the caller and move to your work.
Not anymore. It would be either my sister, mom or mil. I’ll call and check on my way of they dont call on my mobile in next 5 minutes

if i’m in a hurry, i wouldn’t bother to answer the fone and if i’m NOT in a hurry, i’ll definitely answer the fone.
we hardly ever get a fone call on our land-line.

Oh my gosh , I come back in , undo the security code on the alarm , answer the phone !!!

i don’t use land line anymore…but, id FWD landline calls to mobile when leaving the home.
If I miss FWD it, I’d figure if its really important, they’d just call me on my cell phone once no one picks up.

Yeah , we cant dare do that unfortunately .. I am sure many people live without alarms but husband and I are just too careful about it all !cant afford a break in :no:

alarm is a good idea but make sure you don’t sound alarm ever or you will have a rude awakening when the police officers orders you you to raise your hands up. it once happened when i worked P/T at one of my cousin’s store in Toronto when i was new in Canada.
our landline calls are automatically transferred to my Bhabhi’s cell and any voice messages are sent to her mobile as text message.
Sometimes we don’t even answer it when we are home and sitting right there :cb:

we have talking caller id.. we pick up only if we know who is calling… there is this telemarketer who calls at least once a week… its been 4 years…never answered once..but those guys are persistent
