Re: The Pakistani VICTORY! - After match discussion
Shoaib Malik on the other hand, played a courageous shot in the 90's...lost the chance to score his century,,,but guess what? his team won.

Re: The Pakistani VICTORY! - After match discussion
Pakistan won fair and square..it’s India’s responsiblity to finish the overs in time and hopefully this would teach them a lesson…Off course you never wanna see a match go this way, but then again, this problem won’t be faced in western countries where there are more stadiums with the flood lights…anywys coming to the way Inzi got out, hmmm I jut don’t understand why everyone is bi**hing…Look at this, Tendulkar was given out LBW, whereas he clearly gloved the ball…Talk abt spirit of the game, why wasn’t he called back, or why even appeal…hyprocrites…
Re: The Pakistani VICTORY! - After match discussion
Though it may be seen as 'in the aftermath' glory, but I agree with funguy. I had said it during the match progress where Sachin was taking a single as soon as he could and leave Pathan to face the bowlers like Asif. When ball got older and Asif was gone then Tendulkar got into action, his SR was somewhere in 60s (or even lower) while Pathan and Dhoni were smacking the attack all around the park.
Re: The Pakistani VICTORY! - After match discussion
Funguy is right, as the set batsman it was Sachin's responsibility to see India through to an unassailable total. Instead he fell to a needlessly risky reverse sweep right after getting his hundred. I hope he gets a similar century in every match if Pakistan continue to win!
Kudos to Malik, what a performer. Unselfish innings in the face of adversity. He had been through some rough personal times, as well as facing competition for his place in the team.
The fact that Pakistan was alive and well ahead of the D/L score so late in the innings is reason enough to celebrate this win. India only have themselves to blame.
Re: The Pakistani VICTORY! - After match discussion
It was against South Africa in Morocco in 2002. He had actually hit a six before the bowler started realized that Inzimam had fallen on the wickets after hitting the six.

Re: The Pakistani VICTORY! - After match discussion
I will quote this in reply to you about Inzi's appeal by Indians:
"I know a lot of laws in the game, not sure if this is something people appeal for. Certainly this is not in the spirit of the game" - Michael Holding
There was no need at all to throw the ball towards the stumps when you can see the batsman was is in the way.
As for tendulkar's wicket, well no one could see that he touched the glove (even the umpire didn't see that - or else he won't have given out - would he?) you only get to see that if you watch it on tv in slowmotion.
Re: The Pakistani VICTORY! - After match discussion
spirit of the game…are you sure…bhai jaan, both the teams are here to play cricket and not to enhance the bhai chaara and the spirit of the game…so you are saying that fielders shouldn’t throw the ball if they see the batsmen is out of the crease and infront of the wickets..have u ever played cricket urself…and I didn’t see the tendulkar incident in slow motion…it was visible to the naked eye..
thankx for ur inputs anyhow..
Re: The Pakistani VICTORY! - After match discussion
This the excuse they’re using.
The umpires were already concerned about the light. The players weren’t complaining. The fact that the Indians had a slow over rate, apparently had nothing to do with it.
See how they write ‘…play spilled over beyond the scheduled close…’, implying that either both teams are to blame, or neither is…
Re: The Pakistani VICTORY! - After match discussion
omg man....suchhh bloody propaganda again???!!!???
Re: The Pakistani VICTORY! - After match discussion
i think indians shudnt have appealed...and to be honest jind_mahi...sachin looked plumb to the naked eye...n ya...since u cant get inzi out properly u appeal in a manner totally out of the spirit of the game...remember s. dighe's appleas vs stve waugh for handling the ball?? typical of ur team i guess...can't get em proper...so lets getm em like the slimeballs we are
Re: The Pakistani VICTORY! - After match discussion
Reading all about slimeballs and making appeals, I am just waiting for someone to spring up the dreaded name - the ultimate ambassador of cheeky Pakistani sportsmanship: Sarfaraz. ![]()
Re: The Pakistani VICTORY! - After match discussion
If you don’t know what the spirit of the game is you dont deserve to play any kind of sport!
And we are not here to discuss if I play cricket or not? that is totally irrelevant!
You must have superman eyes to be able to see tendy’s lbw in realtime ![]()
Re: The Pakistani VICTORY! - After match discussion
There was an email discussion going on about whether taking advantage of the D/L method was the sporting thing to do etc, and a friend of mine sent this. Assume Pakistan had done the “sporting” thing by not taking the light offered by the umpires and instead went on to bat for three more overs and, yes, lost the game…

“Pakistan lost by 10 runs after refusing to opt for the bad light”

sure…learning from our neighbours…can’t get rid of old habits I suppose…
Re: The Pakistani VICTORY! - After match discussion
bhai I don’t need to explain over here the spirit of game to you …read the discussion regarding the beamers thrown by bowlers not only at gupshup but at other forums also…none of the bowlers have felt sorry..where’s the spirit of the game…where’s the spirit of the game when players are running over the wicket with the whole world watching…
We are also not here to discuss who get’s to play a sport or not…that’s totally irrelevant too…
Re: The Pakistani VICTORY! - After match discussion
LBW rule should not be applied to Tendulker. He is just too great!
i know that there are very few sachin fans left in india and arround the world ...... and that his haters are rising all arround the world including india but i am sure pakistan has maximum number of sachin haters ... and its not long that all pakistani's will be proud sachin haters .....
Re: The Pakistani VICTORY! - After match discussion
is it true that irfan was hit by a object while he was fielding ..........
Re: The Pakistani VICTORY! - After match discussion
lol !!!!!!!..... i just couldnt stop laughing when inzi got out..... was sad aswell..
i think what the 3rd should have done is they should have used the special lines to determine where the ball was gonna hit....either its hitting the wicket or its not. Just like the way they show when someone gets out on LBW.
If the ball wasnt gonna hit the wicket then i think their decision was wrong.
