Though we love all the suhabas (r.a) equally but there are certain qualities of certain Suhabas or certain incident (of any particular Suhabi) which when we read at anytime in our life they cause a deep impact on our lives.
Though it is difficult to mention all of them, so I would start with few which are coming to my mind at this moment.
I am really impressed from the wisdom and knowledge which Allah (swt) blessed Hazrat Ali (r.a) with. The way he always used to answer every question with a beautiful and to the point answer, still every answer seems to have unlimited depth in it for all type of people who sincerely seek good knowledge.
The mental plus physical courage and strength which Allah (swt) blessed to Hazrat Umar (r.a) and Hazrat Khalid bin Waleed (r.a) causes rush of blood in my head and thrill in my body, whenever I hear their names, due to the events and incidents which are attached with them.
I think certain sahabas were best known for their exploits during the time of the Prophet[pbuh] , some were known for the events after the Prophet[pbuh]
amongst the former uthman b mazun [ra] and amongst the latter Qays b sa'd [ra] have impressed me a lot
^ that is because of the strongly sectarian views associated with them.
in modern times there is little effort on either side to do a dispassionate analysis of the lives of the sahaba despite the fact that many great biographical works avalible e.g of ibn hajar, ibn atheer, ibn abd birr and ibn sa'd to name a few.
Hazrat Hamza, the story of him defending the prophet by challenging abu jahal in front of the council of the qureysh leaders and telling him that he could not attack The prophet was very inspiring. It was a loss for muslims to lose him so early.

That unfortunate incident was the begining of the end of Muslim unity.
Hamza (R.A) was killed by Wehshi (at that time he was slave of Hinda, later become a muslim) by the order of Hinda, who was wife of Abu sufiyaan and mother of Maa'wiyya (who had conflicts with Ali R.A), and Maa'wiya was father of Yazeed (who was behind the killing of Hussain R.A).
It is not a surprising conclusion that we ended up having some muslims (Shias) who literally hate Abu Sufiyaan, Maa'wiya and off course, Yazeed.
No doubt, Umar bin Khattab and Ali ibne Talib are the most influencing ones, we even today benefit from their stances on difficult times and situations and Hilm and wisdome they used to solve the most interesting cases and disputes. God bless them.

Bahi , He is not a Famous Shahabi , to be honest I don’t know whether he was brother of **Zayd ibn Harithah (**Zayd ibn Muhammad or *Zaid mawala Muahmmad ) the adopted son of Muhammad or he belongs to *Harith of the Banu Hashim . I , first learnt his name listening a lecture by Tariq Jameel , where he stated that during the Shab of Miraj , Muhammad :saw: listen a voice reading Quran in Jaanah , he asked who is he , He was told that it is Noman Ibn Harisa and he acheieved this Moqam by treating his Mother well . He ( Tariq jamel ) later explained that Noman used to cook food for his own mother , wash her clothes and instead of asking his wife to do things for his mother , he used to do every thing on his own . So Allah was so pleased with him , when ever he read Quran in Medina , Allah:swt: made Angles to listen it in Janaah .
And it is one of mentioned signs of Qayamaat that Qayamaat will be very near when people start insulting and abusing their mothers. May Allah put all of us on Sira.tay Mustaqeem and Give us Tofeeq to treat our parents well ! Ameen

Must be in Makkah, since it is time of Mairaj. Not many people were converted in or migrated to Medina at that time. Correct me if I am wrong.
After reading Hayatus Suhaba I was shocked. I read so many names which I never heard before and at the time when I was reading the life of a particular Suhabi (r.a) I used to think that there can't be a better Suhabi than this amazing one till I switched to the life of another Suhabi. Every one of them was amazing in his own way.
Someone said something very beautiful. " The Prpohet (saw) had all human qualities at it's ultimate peak. And these qualities were distributed among all the Suhabas (r.a)" That is why the Prophet (saw) said in a hadith (I read in Fazail-e-amaal) that " In certain qualities no sahabi can compete with a particular suhabi like:
Saddaqat of Hazrat Abu Bakr (r.a)
Quwwat-e-Imaani of Hazrat Umar (r.a)
Haya of Hazrat Usman (r.a)
Insaaf of Hazrat Ali (r.a)...............etc.
Ameen-ul-ummat Hazrat Abu ubaida bin Jarrah (r.a)
No one can compare to the Azaan of Hazrat Bilal (r.a)
The amazing and unique way of fighting of Hazrat Zarar bi Auzar (r.a) (without any protection he used to fight alone with manny)
Hazrat Ali. Because Prophet Muhammad was reported to have said "La fatà illa Ali, la saif illa Zulfiqar" ( لا فتى إلا على لا سيف إلا ذو الفقار ), meaning "There is no hero but Ali, and no sword except Zulfiqar".
. As much as I know, they were the amongst the most intelligent ones.
