Have been petrified to come to this thread - since results would be known. Stupid NBC just showed it 15 min ago. What a treat! Johan made a gallant attempt- but Bolt is just too good.

Women's 200 was also interesting. Smooth running by USA Felix. The Jamaican 100m gold medalist got silver - she apparently Bates this distancem
110m hurdles - silky smooth running by US winner - 1srlt win for US since 1996. The event that Nehemiah and Foster made it a US Dominated event.

Women's 400 Sandra gold never in doubt.
women's 400m hurdles - US woman finishes close 2nd - her heartbreak was palpable - she vowed to come back 4 yrs later.

Gutted for GB getting disqualified for the 100m relay final...again. Looking forwards to the final tonight. And GB 4th in the 400m relay by 0.13 of a second :-/.
So excited on a personal level as I got to hold a bronze medal yesterday and met 9 athletes overall. Will be quite sad when the Olympics is over.

Yes - he was totally under control. Hung around last for 1st 5-6 rounds - made move to 4th - then with abt 2-3 rounds to go, took the lead and never relinquished it.
