And the only one who missed out (Asafa Powell) happens to be the guy who has timed less than 10 seconds more than anyone ever and missed out here due to an injury. Just goes to show how tough it is now and how Usain Bolt really is an absolute freak to be dominating in such a competitive era

The guy who grew up admiring the Pakistan cricket and dreaming to be as fast as Waqar Younis one day, is now the fastest man in the world. Take a bow, Usain Bolt. What a stunning race.

Usain Gold has done it again. Though that guy is the biggest rockstar wannabe showoff but still he is loved and admired by the entire world.
Hats off to him. i always had faith in him. a true legend. In last few seconds he was looking at the clock, goes to show you how confident he is in himself.

And precisely why Michael Phelps does not deserve to be crowned best Olympian based on medal count. Bolts 9.63 was amazing - he could have gone to another gear if needed.

You make a good point. I also think that team sports like hockey and football should be counted as 11 gold medals (all eleven players) and not just 1 gold medal. It is unfair that individual medals in athletics, gymnastics and swimming etc. are counted as separate medals but if you win a team event like hockey or football it is counted as only one gold or one silver despite all the hard work
It may sound ridiculous but the fact is all 11 players in a team sport are awarded gold, silver or bronze medals

The women's 100 m hurdles was very closely contested. Last olympics' gold ans silver medalists switched places - separated by 0.02 s with the aussie setting an Olympic record. The silver medalist was gracious while the us bronze medalist had a personal tragic story that made her getting into medal position sweeeeeet!

Lightning Bolt wins 200m final race as well in 19.32 sec. Blake came second (19.44). Warren Weir 3rd (19.84 sec) all Jamaicans

Awesome race by Bolt, and so great to see athletes with personality, the sport is better for it.
He is winning medals despite not being 100% in this Olympics due to some niggles.
He is an intelligent racer too, goes all out but he knows when he's on WR time and when he's not. He has another race tomorrow and the day after (relay). He wants to sweep the medals instead of breaking records (which he already owns).
